I hate those messages. I got like three within 5 minutes of each other. I asked my friend why he did it and he said that it was "just in case" it was real...
I've only received two, from people who don't really visit Bungie.net or other Halo-related websites to understand that this won't get them Recon.

Yeah, this is really annoying. I think somehow I have gotten my name on the n00b's spam list. I have gotten like 50 message from people I have never met telling me to download their map, gametype, and/or screenshots. And the most annoying one is the recon one. It is so pointless and stupid. It isn't even logical. And I looked at the screenshot, it is just a stupid picture of a recon helmet. "OMG! You have a friend that got recon for actually helping the community/ making bungie laugh and you took a screenshot of it? Woah! When everyone receives one of these messages, you should get it too! " I mean seriously, these people need to get a life [/majory irony from a kid sitting on Forgehub after playing Halo all day, lol...]
I had like 10 of them during a game on btb. Replyed to the all with somthign like: P*** off, your not gonna get recon, your life is worthless, your a failure.
Dude I totally agree with you on that one I am going to start removing people who are stupid enough to send me that sreenshot.
Wow..Luckily for me I haven't had these yet, but I've had complete morons who send me recommendations for files that are on my own file share.....Why would I want to see something that I MADE?! And this is just like that chain mails that everyone gets from myspace, bebo, facebook, msn etc etc..It's pathetic and these people should just die and rid us the trouble of having to delete these messages constantly.
Oh noes! It's too late!!! The infection has ingulfed half of the Halo communtiy! Is everyone getting the same screenshot, or is this incident have multiple screenshots? Also, has anyone had problems with this in other forms, such as maps or films that say you get recon?

There was like a 3 week period where I didn't play Halo 3, and when I got on, I had 3 messages that were halo 3 screenshot recommendations, I didn't check any out, two were by you BTW. another one was by a different FH member, I'm sure the other guy sent me the pic talked about here, I hope one you sent me is Kim k.
