There are some great ones but the most of them are forgettable. And I haven't watched them all I must admit. There's just too many haha.

I was gonna give an in depth response of what I liked about these movies and my thoughts on infinity war and the upcoming marvel movies but this response was better.

First of all, starting with first of all means you're triggered bud, and second of all, don't call me dude, bro.

Aaaanyway, what I was trying to say is that each movie has it's theater and when seeing something as big, flashy and loud as a Marvel and definitely the Avengers movies are, you really need to see it on the biggest loudest screen possible. It's all about what the movie is trying to make you feel, whether it's the old heart strings or the vibration of some overactive subs beneath the floors. I personally have a beautiful 100+" setup with a kickass sound system at home but it's still not quite the same as sitting in one of the forward rows of an Ultra AVX or Imax theater when a movie like this is playing.

Side note: anyone who thinks a movie should be watched from one of the back rows of the theater needs to either buy a bigger TV or sit closer to it. A movie shouldn't be watched down a hallway.

So in conclusion, I read and comprehended what you said, and I am aware that you have not seen the movie, which is why I said to watch it on the biggest, loudest, screen possible before drawing a conclusion. There was no inflection in my writing. Now that I have a minute to think about it though, after just watching said movie I would like to add some inflection back into my post in the form of mild disdain for your lackadaisical approach to watching a Freakin Awesome movie Yo!

I fell asleep reading this comment, and the one before it, therefore it is bad.

That's what I'm trying to figure out, whether you're joking or not; there's a set of expectations for these films that make them popularly digestible, which I do not share - I find them to be quite tedious because I expect a film to have some depth to it in terms of character development, motivations, and the morality of the hero(es)'s (and villain's) actions, I do not personally care for the largest, loudest bang in the known universe.

There isn't much of this in the Marvel films, and where there is some it has been largely sacrificed in favor of absurd gags and wanton destruction. I liked Iron Man (original one) because it told a relatively compelling story of a broken man trying to survive, there was at least some focus on his character - GotG, while it has some really interesting characters, is simply too corny for me to suspend disbelief (but I understand that that's not what I should expect from it) except in those moments where the absurdity can be cut thru, like the scene in which Rocket and BlueGuy are confronting each other. Am I missing something? I am genuinely trying to understand this stuff.

    Ok bro.

I thought first of all meant you explain some stuff in an orderly fashion. My bad dude, and the only thing that kinda triggered me was the weird 'movie theater reason' you gave. I know most people think that's important but for me personally it really doesn't make a difference where and how I watch it. Special effects and sound means jack **** to me if the story isn't interesting or the characters dull as ****. I despise 3D movies and the only movie I loved in 3D was Avatar but that was just Pocahontas and Dances with Wolves in a space jungle.

And there you go again, thinking I have a conclusion about a movie I haven't seen yet. I don't, I'm just not excited. I will watch it someday and if it's really that good I will like it, but not for the experience you're describing. I'm just not excited anymore about popcornblockbusters, even though I love all kinds of movies from any genre and from any decade.

I hope I cleared it up even though I said exactly the same things.

    And wtf is lackadaisical?

Everyone knows that Suicide Squad was the best movie of all time!

You’ll want to commit suicide after seeing it.

This the **** is lackadaisical, guy.

    lackadaisical.jpg

I'm sorry for the confusion, I believe you are getting stuck on the purpose of this sentence. You seem to be reading it as if I was implying that you have a current opinion on the movie. That's not the case, it is in fact as it is written. I'm recommending you to see it where it will offer you the fullest experience thus allowing you to determine how you feel (in the future) based on that.

I'm down with you on this but I think it sounds like I may have more flexibility. I get more frustrated with a movie if it doesn't live up to it's genre. A Comedy without humor, a Horror without scares, a Drama without quality acting. I would rather see an action movie filled with OTT intense epic scenes and a bit of a **** story, than an action flic with a great story but crap stunts/fights or effects. Very rarely do we get movies that clear all hurtles and do everything beautifully. It's better to reduce expectations and enjoy each movie for it's intended strengths. If it fails at those, then tear it apart.

If a 3D movie is done right you should feel a bit like it was pointless in 3D. That's because in your face 3D effects are just a gimmick and does 3D no real justice. Proper 3D should be subtle, and gently draw you further into the movie in a way that hardly seems impactful. It would be the same as if you were to add Smellovision or 4D to a movie. Punching you in the face with Pungent smells and rain pissing down on you wouldn't exactly deepen your bond with the film. Instead it is best to mildly augment your perception to draw you in, not out of movie.

To keep yourself from being let down or irritated with 3D, it is probably best that you assume the 3D to be a mechanism for watching a film as opposed to a feature.

As far as the latest Avengers movie is concerned, overall I really enjoyed it. It's not to say I didn't have issues but again I try to look past those to see what the movie did right. Avengers manged to weave it's stories over and through each other quite well, and offered us more spectacle than I think most would have even hoped to see. It was an action packed, funny, gorgeous movie. As for the story, it was as complex as a movie with that size and scope could manage within the couple hours it had to entertain you. I may have been willing to double the movie length to deepen the story but I'm not sure if everyone else would.

Hope this helped clear everything up. :D
