I gotta say, looking around at all the other maps, I'm not very good at this. I'm just so used to H2A forge that adjusting the larger palette and options is a little overwhelming. But, I'll get better!
I had an idea for another map based on SUPERHOT called Algorithm. A white-washed lab dedicated to studying a strange, red, floating object. Very sleek and modern, with computers, buttons, and panels everywhere.
As of today, ForgeHub officially supports map postings for content created in Halo Online. https://twitter.com/ForgeHub/status/986659378706165761
343 has kind of annoyed me in the past with some decsisions but the new MCC update in combination with 343 having a new lead designer for a while should bring you guys at least SOME hope. Id say from these screenshots alone the future is looking fairly bright. Halo 6 might not be the halo we all want but id imagine it will at least be a huge step above Halo 5. It isn't overly designed and gross like the old MCC menu at all. I think having to change the whole engine and build a full game from the ground up for a new console in 2 years is what hurt Halo 5 the most.
actually, no, that's all me - I did steal the lanterns from somewhere though *edit* if you're referring to the larger one, then maybe, idk - @I MetaBreaker I would know
It was a retorical question lol. That's 100% mine. Looks nice though. Prefabs are for sharing. I'm curious what you will do with this map.
Wtf 1: Halo 5 had a 3 year dev cycle 2: the new console had **** bumpkiss to do with Halo 5s failures. 3: they didn't build a whole new engine 4: the mcc update is a different team 5: what do those screenshots have to do with h6 You clearly don't know 343 well. They ALWAYS disappoint. Always .
yes i did steal your prefab sry ill credit u tho, if u want. It looks super neat and i wanted to work it in somehow.
No way man, if I don't want people to use my prefabs I shouldn't have made them. No credit or apologies needed. Going into other peoples maps to prefab stuff yourself is a different story.
I'm not sure what I want for the new UI, but I'm pretty sure this ain't it. My buddies have been bugging me to get my old Halo 3 map edits into the MCC since that's where we spend the most time, so I've been doing that for a few hours today. I gotta say, I never realized how many weapons they put on the maps back then. I'm surprised people have complained about excessive weapons on forged maps after seeing what Bungie used to do. **** is MCC's Halo 3 ever glitchy in Forge. There's always a bunch of stuff that isn't spawned so you can't edit or delete it. I need to do a big edit to Avalanche and I don't think I can even delete the stuff I need to, to get everything I need on there. A budget increase would work wonders. Do we really need to stick with those old limits?
Sorry to interrupt your circlejerking. At least do a bit of basic research first. These are quoted directly from 343. You are right about it being a 3 year cycle though so my bad there. This was in the first update for the MCC relaunch. It is a team within 343, under their management. This was in an interview with Frank before the games release. Regarding number 6, it means 343 might actually be taking a step in the right direction for once. I think it's fine to be realistic but you guys just shoot down anything remotely postive and continue to whine all the time. **** me right?
But I think it's also right to be from skeptical to cynical after all the times we've been disappointed. There are too many flaws in all aspects of the games to believe they will be resolved.
Yes, **** you for being gullible enough to believe that blog post and then vehemently defend it. Making a "brand new engine" is a myth. It literally takes YEAARSSS to get something remotely stable, let alone powerful enough to compete in AAA markets. Sometimes decades, hell look at id tech and cryengine. Literally after every Halo game ever Bungie/343 have said "We've completely rewritten the engine from ground up!" And every time it's horseshit. They change a few pipelines and add some features on top and call it a day. The halo blam engine is literally just a modified CE engine. The halo 3 engine is a modified Halo 2 engine. This trend continues all the way halo 5 - there's still code from CE running in the Halo 5 engine. 343 isn't capable of making a game in 3 years without more than 3 gametypes without outsourcing half the ****ing thing to Certain Affinity and Airborne studio and you think they rewrite the engine every time on top of that? LMAO, it's a marketing term every dev says before every launch and everyone knows it's bullshit. Even GOOD developers have trouble doing that. The irony here also being this supposed rewritten engine is inferior to the previous BLAM engine running H4 in most discernable ways. Does Halo 5 even have physics? It really just bothers me when people make excuses for 343. No, they didn't rewrite the engine. They had 3 years. 2 companies to outsource to. 9 figure budget. And 15 years of prior Halo games to lean on for reference as to what works and what doesn't, and they still launched with **** bumpkiss. Halo 6 will suck massively and you'd be a fool to think after 3 consecutive failed Halo games that 343 will turn that around Edit: and your included images seem to also imply that I was correct that the mcc team is a different team, which it is. Not sure what you're getting at there
