Spirit in Black submitted a new map: Conflux - A symmetrical Forerunner arena built for competitive play. Read more about this map...
Just from the looks of it, it seems very monotone aesthetics-wise. Maybe add panels, buttons, shut doors, etc. if you want to brighten it up more. But if an atmosphere that made the players more focused on combat then sightseeing was desired, I can dig it.
Consider some more subtle Forerunner decoration. Could be as simple as those small Epitaph holograms.
It ended up looking a bit monotonous because I felt that the colors I chose looked the best in the lighting I was going for. I was also aiming for a more simplified look, mostly for performance reasons. I even had to scale back on aesthetics a little bit from my original vision because there were some frame drops along the edges. I can probably add a bit more color in some areas, but it may be difficult to do with the lighting.
Good choice for functional lighting and simplicity. But if you wanted to add color and decor without affecting the lighting too drastically, I think those decals should do. It would add a lot and wouldn't require much. Happy forging!
One thing more I'll say is that it seems difficult to know what side you're on at any given point. Perhaps more red and blue lights on the different sides would make it clearer whose side you're on for games such as CTF.
Looks really solid! If it's clean and performs well, I prefer that to heavily detailed maps with frame rate issues. As mentioned, subtle details, color and lighting variations help a lot, but in the case of this game maintaining performance and simplicity is important for competitive maps. Myself and @xzamplez (I assume) are proud! White, grey and beige maps all the way!

Is there anything you could do to improve how the light bake is right now? I think that's the main aesthetic drawback at the moment, because you have such nice shapes. The door is super cool but maybe improve the forerunner window side to match that level of detail?

I spent some time on this map a few years ago. The update looks nice dude! I admire your work these days and look forward to more of it as we approach Halo Infinite.
