I didn't see that skybox when I checked through those... is there anything I can use for this kind of map? edit: nvm ill just check later
I believe exosphere is the one with the big blue planet... I think @MULLERTJE is correct. NVM I AM WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So how do I make it daytime-like, instead of more night-time looking? Just up the brightness on the distance fog? I think that should work.
while in forge on exosphere, hit Y, select 'map options', find 'lighting' or 'theme' or whatever it is, and then scroll through to 'ascendance' and then hit Y again and you should find yourself in the daytime place
Thank you so much (and everyone else too)! I haven't been near my Xbox all day, so thank you all for helping me out. I'm gonna make a map in the clouds, kinda a stupid fun BTB map. Thank you for the help, and I'll see you in map forums sometime soon (hopefully)!
I forged the Covenant doors for @Box Knows ' Dissident. Due to the report of @Foge yesterday we went into Forge to see what was wrong with the doors, since he said one was broken during a playtest. Thanks for that. So first thing we did was test each door individually, so basically walk through each of the doors in seperated time intervalls. The scripts worked as expected, there was no malfunction. The doors are not connected through scripts. Now, once we went into the doors (script brain boundaries) at the same time, at least one of them broke. So my question is, has anyone tested how many actions, messages, timers, overall scripts Halo 5 can handle at the same time? If I know that number, I will try to reduce the scripts that are going on. The test is repeatable, it proves that the scripting engine is capped at a certain number of actions simultaneously. First time for me something like this happened. @ExTerrestr1al @NOKYARD @Yumudas Beegbut Another problem, not related, is that my intro cams for Optic Prison don't show up at the moment. The outro cams work fine, since the engine can load all map assets before the game ends. Do I have to reduce anything for the intro cams to show up (1199 pieces at the moment)? It seems like a loading problem.
I'd be interested to see that experiment in a recording or something... or maybe I'll just load up the map and try it myself. (yeah, that) Was your test to each walk into different doors simultaneously, or the same door? I don't know if there is a specific limit to # scripts executing at the same time. Unless his map is absolutely packed with scripting, I doubt you are reaching it. However, having spent more time engineering doors than probably anyone, there might be a necessary layer that could avoid this bug... i'll take a look. (goes to load map)
