Hey everyone, Ever since the success of the ForgeHub Anniversary / Charity stream, we have been in the background discussing what and how should we continue to stream Halo/forge content on a regular basis. We have a couple of ideas on what we should do, but we want to hear from you all. We want to get into showcasing more content in streams, so we're open ears to feedback and suggestions! This doesn't have to be limited to 'testing', which their are still other lobbies that do that on a regular basis. So let's think outside of the box on this one!
I'd just like to say first that the monthly community favorite streams showcasing all the nominees is really cool and entertaining to watch so keep that up! As for ideas, I'm just going to list a bunch of ideas that you could do: 1. Game Nights - This would obviously be just the forgehub staff hosting a game lobby and playing some fun custom games with the community. 2. Parkour/Puzzle Maps - Try and play through different puzzle/parkour maps 3. Halo Horse - If you don't know what I'm talking about for some reason, Achievement Hunter used to play Horse in Halo by playing user submitted challenges made in forge for them to try and beat. It'd be fun and interesting to see forgehub staff go head to head in some Halo Horse and it would involve the community as well as it would encourage people to make their own challenges. It'd be cool also if you cycled through the different types of streams.
it would be nice if there was a customs lobby weekly that was streamed, and focussed on Forge maps exclusively. Suggestion: Don't name the Stream "Forgehub..." because when you name a stream after a group or similar, it makes the person browsing streams not click on it, thinking it's some specific thing they might not want to watch. Instead, name it "Forge Map Customs!" or something like that... when people ask where you all meet up, tell them.
I think a monthly big stream would be the best and around holidays you could do for fun contests when holidays are around... Like for April Fools day have a really bad map contest, that would really be good for donations. The Halo horse is a great idea, I say monthly would allow for the most time in between streams to think of creative and fun to watch events to host. Also if it is monthly there could be a "custom of the month" since there will likely actually be a decent map pool within a month, especially when Halo 6 comes around. In addition it is frequent enough but not extremely common so 343 would be more likely to get involved and join in on streams if they are monthly as it will be a bigger spectacle. -Mini awards (map overviews of quality maps within the month) -Halo Horse -Monthly for fun forge contest -Customs -In the community (Showcases cool projects going on within the community including non-forge related ones such as art or media) -Build Off (people vote on 2 forgers for that month to build off) Donations would get rid of pieces like before. Also please someone do a bad map contest for april fools.
Monthly mightwork, but remembering tjat every monday, for instance, there is a stream would be easier for some ppl. Also, higher frequency will keep up viewership and consistency.
You could still do it and break up what you do every week instead of having a big stream, it might be more managable as well.
Thanks for the feedback @ExtraSpicyMemes @ExTerrestr1al . We have been wanting to do more frequent streams. So all this feedback is great!
Depending on when you do them, you coud get exposure on twitch by being one of the top streams, which is not jard to do with a handful of viewers. Ascend had 3rd top stream thursday for a while lol
