I think Fortnite strikes a better ballence of time between player engagments. Also the building introduces a meta that i've grown to love and havn't experienced in any other game. The map is also more dense and when coupled with the on-the-fly-building, fights can evolve in such beautiful ways... My only problem with Fortnite are the rng criticals, that are always in effect What do you think?
Im sure if you are comparing the XBOX One versions everyone will pick Fortnite. PUBG is a much better game on PC though.
What do you guys mean by rng crits? There's random spread - which means random headshots - but you won't crit if you don't hit the head but yeah, remove random spread and make all of the weapons projectile based, and you have the best battle royal game by a mile
Well there's base damage, headshot multipliers, and then there's also an rng crit meter that adds damage to that. It fluctuates constantly between 1 dmg and 80 dmg I believe. Every single shot you fire receives some sort of crit bonus.
PUBG runs like crap on xbox and the game is meant to be played with a mouse and keyboard. I have only played a few matches on fortnite as opposed to my 120 plus hours with PUBG so I'm totally biased, but the time I spent with Fortnite didnt impress me at all. The game felt way too arcadey and I really didn't like the building aspect of it at all. I enjoy the massive battlefields and vehicles in PUBG, and how each match can evolve in a completely different way depending on your luck and decision making. I also really like how you can get different levels of armor and gun attachments in PUBG.
They are both battle royal shooters... if these two games aren't close enough to compare then no two games in existence are.
Both an Apple and an Orange are fruit. PUBG and Fort are Battle Royal games. Not much to say after that -- the gunplay, movement, weapons/equipment, and meta strategies are completely different.
Despite all its issues PUBG on Xbox is far better. Fortnite is like PUBG for kids and I feel like there is a lack of strategy and sense of danger when in game even in the last 10 it’s not nerve racking. The building is nice but when u give people the ability to build a ramp to head glitch on it obviously becomes a tactic that is prevalent encouraging players to engage from distance instead of actually closing in on each other and fight. It caters to a more conservative and less confident player.PUBG is for fans of realism and Milsim style play where your tactics, positioning and weapons determine your victory and FBR relies more on luck and or spamming the jump button as you shoot your shotguns which completely ruins any immersion level to the game. For a casual fun time Fortnite is fun. For a serious and Competetive time PUBG has no equal right now.
I don't understand how fortnite can be considered more casual than pubg when the gunplay is way more difficult and actually has integrity in how you can move and shoot, and the kill times actually make sense. It's like saying Halo is causal and cod is competitive. Everything about fortnite makes it a more competitively viable game aside from the fact it's 3rd person. Pubg isn't more skillful it's just slow and campy.
The old DayZ alpha is still better than PUBG. No zombies giving away your location and pushing you out of camping spots. No sprinting through a field with a horde behind you while you get shot at from a treeline. No force feeding old bananas to people you handcuff. No thanks.
I just think that Fortnite will overtake it as a competitive game once the hype for the game reaches Asian markets. Not because of anything other than it is a stable game that is very much streamlined that does a better job of promoting roles and strategies other than waiting in a bush for 40 minutes.
If you don't think that Fortnite can be uber competitive, go watch some fortnite videos on Ninjas channel, and then go watch some pubg videos on Shrouds channel. Both of these guys are pretty much known to be the two best players for each respective game, so comparisons should be easy. You'll see absolutely retarded plays watching Ninja, where he boxes people in and kills them with traps, gets absolutely insane snipes (made more impressive by the snipers relatively slow projectile speed and bullet drop) and then kill an entire squad of 4 people on his own with a shotgun. Watching shroud, you'll see really good PC aim. That's about it. That's literally all that you see when watching Pubg. It just doesn't have a sandbox. Combine that with "realistic" graphics and projectiles that might as well be hitscan... And you have a campfest where you don't see anyone for 30 minutes and then get sniped by a blade of grass 3.4 miles away.
