To be fair, you have to be quite intelligent to grasp the meaning of Christmas. Charlie Brown's pessimistic and recurring sentimental nihilism is deftly woven into his character - his morals are extremely subtle, deftly weaving elements of Desert Abrahamism, Nordic and Anglo Paganism, 20th century Capitalism, Victorian Romanticism, Contempotary consumerism, and post-war Cynicism. He, Jesus, and Frosty the SnowMan in particular are emblematic of this mix - all are prophets of Christmas, extending their various reaches into our hearts, and pulling, tugging at the strings as King James' verses are sung to us on the tinny surround speakers at Walmart in November... this kind of healthy sentimental consumerist nihilism is what makes Christmas the truly special and niche cultural mainstay it is.
I sent you a DM in Discord about this subject. @everyone - I am willing to converse about anything related to Christianity. But I prefer to do it one on one. I also prefer to do it In voice chat but Discord or PM on here is fine also.
Im not hinting at anything, just genuinely curious. Every time someone says something that we do isnt ‘natural’ i bring up this point. I believe everything we do is natural, because we do it.
Toddlers with severe empathy deficiency, yes - often due to dissociative or physically imposing parental interactions. This I know from unfortunately recent events. In honor of Christmas and the WAYWO spirit, here's some of what I have been working on for the past 2 months - it has been somewhat therapeutic, if not somewhat saddening.
@LargerFiend took a look at your new map. Few notes. Kudos on making use of the negative filter. I liked what it did to the map, I don't like what it did to the player models. Looked very icky, but I could get past that. Object usage was meh, I've seen better from you. Object efficiency was complete ****. You used so many of the smaller invisible blocker cubes when there's invisible blocker walls that are way bigger. I literally can't fathom why you wouldn't use them you went to town on the smaller cubes. You should probably just have a hard kill and let your containment be 1 zone instead of a dozen objects, no one who touches any of those blockers would live to get back in the map anyways. Architecture was pretty interesting. You're progressively getting more sensible at design as well. I didn't take the time to actually look to see if your design would hold up but right off the bat you had a lot of interesting design and pathing choices. Whatever those giant wall pieces are supposed to be, either ice or water..it looks like complete **** because you can clearly see the details in the objects. Why did you splurge unnecessarily on invisible blockers but then cheap out on making the ice out of lots of simple blocks. Anyways. It looked pretty decent. If you keep improving at the rate you have been, a year from now you'll probably be in the top dozen or so forgers me thinks. Keep it up.
I have a little sister who is 2, honestly Peppa pig should just die in a fiery pit of hell. Don't even get me started on that bald **** Caillou.
@LargerFiend I'll second that. I'm not 100% sure about the layout, we weren't on it for too long, but you seem to experiment with both art and pathing, so good on you. I think you'll be better than top 12 in a year
In other news, me and @LargerFiend are co-forging something when I get back from Florida. It's going to **** in all of your cereals.
