Map Title: Chopper Madness Download Map Download Gametype Description: Recommended Players: 4-5 (But can accomodate up to 9) I'm sure many of you are familiar with the popular gametype "Splat". The idea behind the gametype is that zombies can only kill humans by splattering them. I made my own one of these gametypes several months ago (before I even knew about "Splat") and thought I would share it with all of my fellow forgers. Chopper Madness starts out with 1 zombie seperated from the rest of the map for 30 seconds. The humans start out in a room where they can choose either a gravity hammer, a fuel rod cannon, or rockets. I seggest the humans leave that area within 30 seconds, otherwise they will spawn in the main area of the map with nothing but a magnum. At 30 seconds man cannons will appear in the zombie spawn to launch them into the main area of the map. The main area is very open with the exception of a small structure in the middle and 2 man cannons in 2 corners. This is where the fun begins. The humans do no damage (neither do zombies) but can knock around the zombie with their power weapons. The rest falls into place. Zombie kills human, human becomes zombie, new zombie comes with another chopper. Last man standing runs at 200% speed, has 75% gravity, and CAN KILL THE ZOMBIES. Zombies run at 50% speed and have 200% gravity to encourage them to stay in their vehicles. This is the open and main area of the map. There is the small structure in the middle that the humans will emerge from teleporters. Custom Power-Up (200% speed, 75% gravity, and 25% dmg to zombies) and Trip Mine located on top. 4 Flares are spread throughout this area, but they are far apart enough to avoid spam. Here is the Zombie spawn. Choppers spawn at 20 secs and man cannons at 30 to launch you into the main area of the map. Here is the Human spawn. Rockets, Gravity Hammers, and Fuel Rod Cannons are at the end. It may look messy, but in about 30 seconds the fusion coils clean the place spotless...if you know what i mean Here is where the teleporter in the human spawn will lead you. This is the inside of the central structure in the main area. Here is the wall where the Zombies Choppers will be launched out of. If Zombies try to launch out of here without a Chopper they will be teleported to the Humans spawn after they have left, and await their inevitable death. Just in case you have a larger group, this is where 4 ghosts will spawn after 90 secs to accomodate up to 8 zombies. At 3 mins into the game a Wraith will spawn in the Main Area for the Zombies use. Nobody has ever actually splattered someone with this monstrosity, Its really just for fun In the upcoming action pics you may see a wall that looks rather ineffective. Well those screens were taken before I improved the map, and this is the actual wall that is included in the improved map. Here we see the initial zombie up against 5 or 6 humans. As the picture shows, its not easy to splatter someone when you're the alpha zombie, but when you do the feeling is great. Once it gets to around 5-6 zombies against 1 human, you can see why they would need the speed boost and less gravity. The central stucture in the main area of the map seems to attract alot of humans as they see it as a safe haven. I seem to demolish that theory as I achieve my one and only triple kill with a single chopper boost. Possibly the greatest feeling in this game is splattering someone as you are shot out of the zombie spawn and landing on top of them. Poor Sricon (Green) had no idea it was coming. _________________________________________________ This is my first post on forgehub and I'm hoping it was a good one, but if i did anything wrong please tell me. I know that i could have used interlocking better and in more places to make it look better, but when youre playing you don't have time to look at the scenery without getting splattered. Thanks to Sricon, CB Legendary, Blade Raven, xX n0 sc0pedXx, and EliteNoobZilla for testing it with me. P.S. Please comment about the map and gametype P.S.S here's a little tip. The trip mine for some reason always does dmg, even if the player does 0% dmg. Work with your team to save 2 trip mines and throw them down at the same time to kill a zombie without the power up or last man standing abilities.
I can see the first two pics fine, but the others look like thumbails of the original pics. You might want to fix that
your post is good, for the most part you did it correctly. the only thing wrong was 10 of the 12 pics were small, oh well. good job.
I'm not sure what happened. for some reason those 2 pics started out that size and the others didnt. I could make them bigger, but that makes them ridiculously blurry. anyone know what i did wrong?
I think you should add a bit more of cover for the "Mice" Seems like theres one spot only to hide at :/ and thats the open box bridge thing
I had thought about that at one point, and even had that stuff in the original map. The thing is, with cover its so easy for the humans to just stay by that and jump when a zombie comes. a zombie can only come from one angle, so its easy to just sit there and never die. Also i had to make enough room for the chopper to move around easily. This map is good without much cover, because the humans literally have to watch every angle, even look up sometimes. Its supposed to put humans on their toes and be alert. That makes for a fun, fast-paced gameplay
I want to apologize to anyone who downloaded the map. i wasnt connected to xbox live when i loaded this up, so i posted an old outdated version of the map and gametype. Please download the map and gametype in the post. i fixed it.
It's like a souped-up version of the "tremors" minigame played on sandtrap and vahalla. I hadn't thought about making this kind of game feature multilevel combat zones though.
