Extraction Here is video of the new functionality of the beacon. So far I have played many matches on all of these, most of all Mercy, and the mechanics seem very solid now. Like people could just run a playlist of this right now if they want. (see below) Video #1 - New button press progress indicator. Initial Capture, and Conversion. Same team cannot continue pressing button after capturing. Video #2 - Point scoring animation. Requisition and initial capture of new beacon. Three maps - with updated Extraction (each has its own new filter added, making the map seem fresh) Regret - Extraction Demo Fathom - Extraction Demo Mercy - Extraction Demo Known bug: Occasionally, team who has captured a beacon can still press the button. Please try to obtain video evidence of this occurring and what was leading up to it around the beacon. THanks. EDIT: Also, some get tripped up by dropped weapons causing you to pick them up when trying to press the button. After a lot of observations, I can say that this is not what is happening exactly. It is not interfering with your button presses, but rather, when you press the button while it is not yet available, the weapon is picked up. In these cases, you'll just need to be a little more careful about not holding the button, but rather, pressing it when it says to. The buttons appear to always get prioritized over weapon pickups (good). But I also have the gametype despawning weapons very fast. The rest of the time, actually semi-holding it works great!

New shield drain mechanic - may be deployed to "Eternity Ball" already in "Eternal Flame" 1v1 map, so that the drain effect does not ever kill, but ONLY drains shields. VIDEO
I'm from across the pond where we don't have giant bird eating traditions. I do see a few of them in stores in december but I don't think it's very popular. But I do wanna try it someday. I think I've prepared every other kind of poultry on the market here though in the winter/game season when it's caught or shot.
Very cool! Are you saving all these deployments as prefabs? So that they can be seamlessly added to maps? I would definetly be interested in some alternative pick ups for all my maps moving forward
Yes, thats the idea. There is a prefab already shared called "gorn ball" which was its temp name, but i am as i said, working on refining it. The flare is also possibly going to be tweaked a little, but can be placed on a map now. I would definitely be motivated to keep developing stuff like this if it actually starts to get used on maps!
What is taking this 1v1 contest so long? I've have played every map enough to know what my top 3 would be like 3 or 4 weeks ago.
All the judges have our picks we just need to get with each and talk it out, which should be this weekend. I'll standby my original claim which is results before the end of November. Which btw, would still be the fastest judged forgehub contest by a mile
Probably more than that. Considering there were 96 entries and there are like 3 maps we've run 20ish times alone
