This is my first time forging an all natural-terrain map for core competitive. I am probably going to tailor it for doubles, or the Extermination game type. Its name will revolve around the eternal nature of war, and testify to long forgotten battles. Design will be asymmetrical, and layout roughly circular with at least three levels. There might be an easter egg. I should be done by the beginning of next month, but academic duties take priority. Here is a teaser with a first draft description: First Draft Description: "Montgomery has broken the stalemate, and is rushing west. Axis men, and machines are retreating back to Libya. All except for one regiment".
I don't think extermination qualifies as core competitive. Core usually means...well, core gametypes.
My goal of round 2 has been achieved. I'm assuming my maps falls under the "stayed in due to redeeming quality" grouping. I realized how silly it was gonna be halfway through making it, but it felt good to finish it anyways. Right now i'm just trying to guess what provided the redeption.
I honestly consider Extermination to be more core than Breakout. It's the true (unofficial) Halo elimination gamemode. Even for official modes I wouldn't say Breakout, that title goes to Blast Resort (Though technically it's a gametype of Assault).
Complete transparency here. One of the judges wasn't able to bookmark the map for whatever reason. And I didn't want to remove anything without unanimous decision. Regardless we're not actually giving placements and numberings until our top 15 or so a map not being eliminated at this point doesn't affect any other map.
Well sik started arting my map, but he won't let me see it until it's finished. I'll probably just take that all the way and try to finish the scripting before posting any pictures. With the art out of the way, this may actually get done... Instead, here's a lil sumthin that salty and I have been working on
Someone posted that in here like a year ago. I find it hard to believe this came from the mind of Salty.
