When i first saw this i thought it looks ok.. But the other day DRiSCOLL downloaded it and showed me This map is brilliant all the effort must of taken you agesss! The interlocking is perfect! If i had to rate it out of 10 i would give it 10 without a doubt!
I finally got to check this out in Forge and it was pretty sweet. First, the geo merging blew me away. I have no idea how you sunk a box so low into the ground. I'm very impressed by that. This map must have taken a lot of time to create, and it looks phenomenal. However, I rated it "good" instead of "great" because it seems to me like the map has too many places where you have to jump. I'd like it more if there were a few more ramps or stairs from point A to B because running up a ramp gives you more control of movement than jumping, and it makes you more difficult to shoot. Also, I really liked the wall made of stairs.
While this map is brilliant, I'm still not convinced that it plays well. I've played it a few times now and it was okay, maybe a little too fast paced. I died very quickly. However, there are a lot of places to hide, so maybe if I practiced this map for a while I would find it more enjoyable. After all, we play the Bungie maps that came with the game hundreds of times, so we've gotten to know them intimately. If forged maps were played as much as, say, High Ground, then they might be respected more. So I'm still not sure if this map has a gameplay problem or not. But as I said, aesthetically this map is excellent. Same for effort and time spent on making it. The sniper cave, the bridge, the stair wall, the mancannons, not to mention all the hiding places, are amazing. I rated this map a "good" (and once I'm sure about the gameplay I might change my opinion to "great"). Definitely more effort put into it than 99.9% of maps out there.
this map looks great, i love the fact that all of the walls are merged perfectly together. and the fence walls in the ground, overall 9/10!
wow, this has to be one of the best maps i've seen. i like how the hill is never easy to control, especially when its on the bridge in the open
this is funny becuz one day i joined insane's lobby and everyone was talking about this map and i didnt really know the map but when i went on fh it was on the front page. I really do think this was a great map when i played it. my favorite part was the bridge in the middle
