5 Seconds would be an improvement. I have a better idea though. Remove the Armor Abilities. I know it sounds like a wild and crazy idea, but I just have this gut feeling that Halo would play better and be more fun without them.
Hmmm...go get 16 years of empirical evidence that complicating and changing the core of the franchise for the sake of trends is a bad thing. But it has to be super convincing. Like, you need at least 9 years and 3 titles from a franchise that showed no sign of decline until the following games over 7 years that changed the formula turned the popularity into a nose dive.

speaking of the 5 sec rule. How long do you guys think the Flare I posted a video preview for a few posts pack, should last? Watching a Halo 3 vid and counting, it seems like it only lasts 4 sec, but that seems way too short to me to be useful. I am not necessarily worried about making it exactly like H3, but want it similar AND useful in H5. Thanks,

I've got it actually, make a cluster item out of these: white 100emissive 2x2x2 cluster of 5 'flare' fx or light cones, or whater the thing is you have already and an invisible point light, 5 falloff, 100brightness, white
Correct - that the gun seems to block it. But consider how detrimental it would be to have to point your gun exactly right to avoid it during a gunfight Also, I read (and remember) that players within close range of it get blinded completely. I will be experimenting with adding a range around the flare that changes filters/screen fx for those within that zone, for a few seconds. If there isn't a combo that is completely blinding, then I will use the best thing available.

Wasn't objective in other halos 10 seconds and halo 5 objective is 8? And slayer was 5 seconds in other halos but h5 is 8 Correct or no? I honestly can't remember
Halo 5 is stupid 8 second respawn in slayer and 10 in objective or something Obviously because of scaling to give the player traveling at potentially max speed the most amount of room to get away
Imagine if we at forgehub at game release collectively agreed to only use a community made game mode(maybe only increased walk speed and thrust) and then shunned anyone in the forge community that used the default settings, and then all forge content ended up only supporting our classic styled game mode. 343 woulda been pissed. Haha man that would have been great... would have. *sigh* Like... a massive **** you.
Sort of managed this in Halo 3. MLG settings were used by anyone actually serious about making a competitive map. Of course they only had to tweak movement speed and kill times, not remove any bullshit settings, but it certainly can be done.
