Looks cool man. My only concern with it is that the barren rock looks a little odd with the snowy background, but who knows if the icy rock will look as good in place of that.
map names with two or three words are the best and super memorable here are examples, don't steal any Red Death Once Upon a Time Far and Away Never Forever those all sound so much better than normie map names to me DON'T STEAL THEM
yeah... I know... i'm thinking of incorporating some kind of 'heat' to the map through either atmosphere or literally adding fire to some places, like maybe the two vents in the bottom of the building and anyway, it'd be fitting of the name 'icyhot' --- Double Post Merged, Aug 15, 2017 --- i'm being silly just don't want to overuse the word 'storm', it seems to pop up a lot on this site
I'm honestly impressed with everyone who still consistently puts out forge maps. After 26 maps and countless scraps, I think I've hit my wall. I've battled with the "forge bug" for so long; everywhere I look in the real world I get inspiration and its honestly exhausting. Luckily I think I've FINALLY hit that point that I can officially RETIRE until Halo 6. The community has shrunk so much that I don't feel my contributions have as much impact as they once did nor do I have as many ideas as I used to, but that's okay. It's been a crazy, fun, and wild ride; full of learning from all of you great people. I hope you all keep forging incredible maps, because I'll certainly continue being a lurker to see what people create. I simply want to try new video games. Personally, I'm looking forward to the new Assassin's Creed, Sea of Thieves, and whenever the hell it gets released: Cyberpunk 2077. I hope this community builds back up when halo 6 comes around because I'll certainly be back to make more Wish you all the best of luck. Forge on brothers. -CDW
Mmmmmm. Help with judging or take the money Lol. I always loved 1v1 maps and Gametypes. I havent made any 1v1 maps in H5 and this would be a good excuse to forge one, I have made quite a few in the past. But I do love playing some 1v1 and judging allows that Are the judges allowed to summit maps to the contest? I don't think they should be able to win prizes but I think it's worth a discussion to make sure. Time to hit the drawing board I guess

Just gonna say now that I have met my art, lighting, theme and design goals with my only compromise being aesthetic detail. Expect a tour of the first "goat standard" map on Friday.
Guys - please help me come up with a name for my forthcoming Star Trek map, which is really my original H5:Forge (PC) idea which was set on the back burner for other maps and is now being picked back up for completion. I will show shots and perhaps an intro video soon, but it needs a little TLC first. Highlights: TONS of scripting, including 16 automatic Trek-Style doors A full ship interior strongly inspired by, but not a replica of, the "Enterprise D" from TNG Turbolift elevator system with five different entry/exit points A working engine which sends energy to a Power Bank to be used by "tech" around the ship. A "mutiny" kind of theme, where an engineering crew (blue) attempts takover of the bridge, and bridge crew (red) attempts to damage the power core. Damage objectives (even in basic slayer mode) which help your team or hurt the other team. A unique transporter with Star Trek-like effects. Many corridors connecting parts of the ship. It's original temp title was "Star Trek Corridors" because I started by first adding my months-long testing on the doors to a first attempt at creating a Trek-looking corridor. The current name idea is "Where No One Has Gone B4" <- maxed out chars, meant to elicit a Trek image for players, and points to the fact that much of what is done in this map has not been done before. Too long of a name? Any suggestions? (Chosen name's nominator will be given credit, for sure!) Thanks in advance
I like it, but I think you need to scale it down by 30% if you ever want players crossing the middle. What are your goals with the design?
Interesting, but the one piece of trek "tech" that the map doesn't have LOL! My Trek map from H4 was called "LaForge" (get it?) and actually did have a replicator-asthetic piece in Picard's ready rooom. It spawned plasma nades.
If this doesn't happen I'm banning you from the forge contest --- Double Post Merged, Aug 15, 2017 --- Imo if you're were to judge, entering said contest without the ability to win prizes would be fine. The best you get out of it is free advertising right?
