It's more "damning" that I think someone should give constructive criticism as opposed to vague opinions? Or that I think it's silly to tell people they're not impressing you? If I feel someone is being a ****, I'm going to call them out. It had nothing do with defending you. Like I said, man. Whatever. That's done.
He knows me well enough to know what I consider boring I don't need to sit here and spell out every angle and los and design choice of the map. If I told you No Ceilings us the most uninspired boring map I've ever seen could I trust that you'd know why or would I seriously need to explain why
Yep, useless to talk about so let's drop it --- Double Post Merged, Aug 11, 2017 --- Though I do gotta say that's the mods job, not yours.
U guy's are calling a blockout boring.. Scratch that. An unfinished blockout boring. So instead of seeing potential in the design you shot it down. Your not very helpful. --- Double Post Merged, Aug 11, 2017 --- @WARHOLIC What's the new map pool for your tourney?
If it were someone outside my circle I either wouldn't have commented at all or gone into greater detail (over a party chat) but realistically simple generalized complaints like that are all you need to here. Especially when it comes to how interesting something is, I can't really go into specifics. It just is something that happens in a number of ways. But I get what you're saying
I actually like Nemesis for dubs and was thinking of keeping it in the pool. I just have a feeling that perhaps you haven't played the map enough and are just premeditating its flaws without experiencing them first hand. I've played the map quite a bit and I liked the gameplay, obviously I'm biased since I made the map but I'm trying to be as impartial to it as I can while still making a decision on this. If you wanted to replace it out with something what would you recommend? I could always throw Nemesis in a future tournament.
I'm just gonna stick my nose in here where it doesn't belong because I have nothing better to do at the moment. If I said something to a friend that implied that they needed to do more to impress me, I'd EXPECT them to tell me off. I'd probably lose a bit of respect for them if they didn't tell me off. It's nothing to do with the quality of the map, or the fact that someone finds it boring, it's the implication that you should care about impressing anyone that bothers some people.
I've heard from many people that you ignore harsh feedback. so thanks for replying. I've played nemesis many times for extermination, once for 1v1 and only half a game for 2v2. It clearly had spawning flaws for anything but extermination, which is fine. I want this battlepro thingy to really take off because its something this community needs desperately. From what I've heard, the pro's want to play good forge maps. Their bored and done with the stale maps 343 provides. This could be our chance to show them our finest work. In my opinion, nemesis needs it's spawns fixed so it shouldn't be considered. The maps I recommended believe to be our best balance 2v2 design at this time so lets start this with a bang. eh.
Maybe it's my Canadian blood.. But I try to always say positive things about people design. It usually leads to the next version being better
Man are we on the same page here! I got interested into this whole community role and obsession for Halo because I loved the combination of the competitive community and the forge community. I want those to combine together like they once did during Halo Reach. Hopefully BattlePro and its integration with ForgeHub in the future will carry us to that next level where the pro community is taking our maps more seriously and participating in our tournaments for cash prizes. When Halo 6 releases we're going to have 6 teraflops of processing power which is a magnitude of almost 5.5 greater than what we have now. I would hope that our Forge system improves to a degree that our maps are on par with dev maps, I know thats asking for a lot but we're getting closer to that goal with every new title. I would expect the pro community would also complain less as a result of the maps looking better too. So in short, yeah we can switch out Nemesis, even though I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Maybe I could look into the spawning system again. A map could always be improved on. What maps should we consider to take its place?
Sorry for derailing the conversation but you're obviously a step closer than any of us when it comes to H6 forge. Is there anything you can tell us? Or is it waaay too soon for these kind of questions? Please War we won't tell anyone.
Again, go back to my post of the pool I think would work, any of those maps are solid. The pro's accepting our maps will never happen if we have the community vote. Jumping ship in our convo a little here but I see it as relevant. The maps need to be good solid competitive maps with varying levels of gameplay. DONT have to be the most unique maps, they have to be our best.
Instead of selling all my reqs for 5 stupid ****ing customization options, only one of which I would ever have worked for in a true achievement system, I could have unlocked up to 100 armor customization options, while still getting more reqs I could then sell off again --- Double Post Merged, Aug 11, 2017 --- Now I have literally nothing --- Double Post Merged, Aug 11, 2017 --- And a gold magnum skin
It wasn't even the gold one For ****s sake --- Double Post Merged, Aug 11, 2017 --- I could have unlocked all of these in regular matchmaking I hate this game I Hate 343 I hate it all
