tempted to do an hour long tour of all 50+ maps i have and then not touch forge again until halo 6. tfw looking thru pages of files and knowing they wont be finished lol

 

man the file system in this game is garbage

>search a prefab
>50000 pages of the same exact file with no picture and no indication who the original author is

>save a map from someone else
>no indication the map was originally from someone else

>load up a map
>map suddenly appears in your recent files even if you didn't edit it

>rename a map
>map doesn't actually get renamed unless you save it as a new file

>go to rename a file or prefab
>window is moving at 2 frames per second and takes you 5 minutes to type a name

Take advantage of how vertical things are because they're built into the wall of a higher position. This is Novigrad from Witcher 3. A little more developed than quaint, but it might be useful just to see how architecure can overlap. Definitely hard to visualize an interesting layout when your theme inspiration was usually just built on flat land.

@WeedCough Looks really cool man. I don't see why you would need to make it an asym, but if that was the original goal, I'm all for it.

The perimeter platform just ends, but I think it'd flow better if you had it/them connect to the interior.

Can you explain to me why a symmetrical map would ever be the best choice for assym/slayer modes. There's no fundamental difference between a 2 way symmetrical map, 4 way symmetrical map, 8 way symmetrical map, etc

I think its about time we hosted a 2v2 tournament here on ForgeHub. This will be a best of 3 for qualifiers and then best of 5 for everything after, so we'll only need 5 maps.

What do you think of this list?

I feel like much better maps are out there besides arcanum as well

I hate purple reign btw a lot

My list would be arcanum, optic prison, storm peaks, that one map by ryilz is pretty cool I forget what it's called, not sure how well high guard is for 2s and I would say box ce but that of course sounds biased. Kind of weird you nominated nemesis honestly. I would love to see legion in there as well

 

Hold another 2v2 contest and use maps exclusively from that pool.
