Man, I have to disagree with you here. I think there are some incredible maps in this current Community Favorite vote. Worthy plays better than it looks so I suggest you give it a try. Echelon is some of Squally's best work. Dutch is a great map thematically and hopefully Chronmeister finally gets a map of his featured, I know its on his bucket list. Vespine is really interesting and features a wasp in a 4v4 setting. Latchkey doesn't play extermination that well but I think it would be a great 1v1 map and it looks sick. All in all, there are some great choices in here...I would test them out before dismissing them next time.
Echelon is essentially a remake. I've played it before on H5:F with a few friends and I have to say that it's really boring and unoriginal. Worthy will play like any other 4-room box that we've seen; I said Vespine is the only interesting map, not adequately playing map. Chronmeister is alright, but look at the previous sentence for reference. Demonulate has an alright theme, but it's essentially just his first face map with a Doom aesthetic slapped on top of it (I had a hard time figuring out pathing for the first two matches, but that may be because I'm so used to a 120° fov, not a 78° fov). TBH I'm trying to find reasons to stay with Halo, but almost any game I'm playing on PC has a better gameplay experience, better developer, and/or better community. This is why I dream of a new Halo-esc multiplayer shooter, but I sincerely am finding it harder and harder to want to make one. I want to throw in the towel at this point.
It's not that high. A4 is here: Also, this is the pitch: Here's something that's so high pitched that it shouldn't be legal:
Sounds like you're burnt out. Don't worry, I've experienced this myself countless times in the past. You need a break from Halo. Grab a lawn chair and chill out by the pool Weather has been great recently!
I know, just screwing around. Trombone was my first instrument so I'm a litttttttttle biased. I play guitar too so treble isn't too bad to me I guess --- Double Post Merged, Jul 25, 2017 --- You're on a website dedicated to making stuff in a video game and you're calling other people nerds? Water's wet.
Are you really so bitter that you felt the need to single my map out (with nonsensical reasoning for that matter)? The three maps from that list I've been on (Vespine, Galleria, and Dutch) are all solid maps worthy of the recognition. If you are capable of creating something better; do it.
Hey waywo, I'm looking for articles and information concerning the cartographer system, as well as the same for different games that have similar community-driven content or community interaction. Working on starting a collection of minds to squash out-dated practices and come up with a better system. Yeah Yeah, it won't work blah blah blah I don't want your negative ass anyway But seriously, I'll take all the constructive criticism of the idea you got (cuz I'll have to be able to convince YOU too)
Im gonna be honest here and say that I feel like he has no say in what is worthy. I get that all the maps except for Vespine do not innovate on new ideas, but just because a map does not try something new does not mean its terrible. Thats like saying "wow Bungie/343 is really getting terrible at designing maps because they are not trying a new formula" Its just dumb to think that way. If you want the community favorites to be better then make a map worthy of it and get it there. This is 100% without a doubt the best community favorites selection I've seen in Halo 5. Not a single one of these maps is absolute garbage unlike past community favorites nominations I've seen. Awaiting incoming **** storm
