Post a movie you watched and whether you liked it or not. Please spoiler any plot details.

Split - Imagine you're locked in a mental hospital with one other patient who thinks he's 20 other people. Split takes that and runs with it, but doesn't really go anywhere. It's a weak psychological horror film that made me dislike everyone involved and not really care when it ended. If you don't get a kick out of James McAvoy's weird roleplaying, all you're likely to get out of this are a few irrational phobias. **** Shyamalan.

Wonder Woman - I thought it was dull, generic and lacked meaningful substance beyond its main theme. It doesn't do well as an action movie with its messy choreography and editing, or a superhero movie with its lousy origin storytelling and ridiculous villain. Instead it sits squarely in the middle. It's a safe, "dark", and by the numbers flick, with its only twist being a female lead. Watch if you like Chris Pine.

    Transformers: The Last Knight
    - Michael Bay knows he's a hack at this point and just goes full in, flying through scenes to avoid boring the audience anymore than they already are. It's a bloated film that wastes a few decent set pieces to string together characters nobody really cares about. Worst of all is its attempts to maintain continuity, not just with the other films but with modern history, the latter of which used to be a strong point. Don't waste your time.

Pirates of the Caribbean 5 - Great laughs throughout with incredible set pieces and a decent plot. As far as a Pirates film goes, it was better than the last two and to be honest, it retroactively cast the previous films in a positive light. (Well, maybe not the 4th one.) I'd watch it again.

Cars 3 - A solid sequel that nobody asked for, and hopefully one that nobody will complain about. Cars 3 has fun moments, strong cinematography and a surprisingly profound story. It doesn't tread any new ground, but it's nice to see a sequel that has something to say and doesn't run off the road. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Spiderman Homecoming - On par with Spiderman 2. Tom Holland is the goat, I would totally watch it again. Then again, I've always been a super huge Spidey nerd so I'm hella biased.

Split came out in January so I guess I'll just list 2017.

Split - Was really happy with it. I was an M. Night fan up until the happening. Airbender was horrible, but there's still hope. Also split is a low key sequel to my favorite M. Night film so... :)

Logan - A fitting end to the better X-men franchise. I hate the new movies.

Beauty and the Beast - Emma Watson can't sing. Still a good movie, but out of the animated film, stage musical, and this--this ranks third.

Power Rangers - I'm upset I got dragged to this.

Guardians 2 - Top notch stuff. Liked the character driven plot. Loved rooting the characters on.

Alien: Covenant - Fun movie. Suffered from a weird plot with stupid characters. But you know Aliens are cool.

Wonder Woman - DC is getting there. Sorta fell apart for me at the end.

Spider-man - I really love Sam Raimi. I didn't dislike Andrew Garfield. In this one I didn't love the amount of Tony Stark there was, but everything else was hit pretty perfectly. I love Micheal Keaton.

Pretty sure that's it for new releases. Next will either be Planet of the Apes or Baby Driver. Really want to see Baby Driver.

Dredd (2012) - Even though I'm a comic book fan, I never got to watch Dredd until recently. Overshadowed by movies like Avengers, Dark Knight, Hobbit, Skyfall and Django, I simply overlooked it at the time, unfortunately.

Straightforward action, detailed world, great cinematography, there was really nothing in this movie that turned me off to be honest. Karl Urban makes it even better with his performance. If you're into well produced, high quality action movies like John Wick or The Raid, you're in for a treat!

Baby Driver - highly recommend if you like any of the following: nostalgia, cars, music, underdogs, anti-heroes, quirky characters, surprises, and dialog. One of the most non-stop movies I've ever seen in all the right ways.

Wonder Woman was okay. The only part that really caught my eye was the early stuff and the trench charge.

Baby Driver was real good. I was just sad Jon Bernthal was only in there for like 10 minutes.

I really liked Dunkirk (can see why people wouldn't though).

Spiderman Homecoming was solid, probably my 2nd fav Spidey film.

Guardians 2 was a lil bit like Rogue one to me in the sense that, the first half was okay, but I thought the second half was brilliant.

The House was a generic Will Ferrel movie bleh. Kinda redundant at this point.

I would've liked the Mummy if I didn't hate Tom Cruise.

    Thank **** I get $2 movie tickets.

Let me add some movies from the last two months.

*****-Dog day afternoon- One of very little Pacino films that I've missed. Probably my favourite actor. Loved this film.

****-Fantastic beasts and where to find them- Fun movie, Eddie Redmayne is cool.

****-Hacksaw Ridge- Impressive story and intense filmmaking overal.

***-Finding Dory- The octopus was cool I guess.

****-Midnight cowboy- A nice impression of the sixties with a fantastic Dustin Hoffman and great music.

***-The last jedi- Looks fantastic but the story and characters didn't do it for me at all. Worse than The force awakens. And that was just a very bad copy of A new hope.

*****-The hateful eight- What a film, Tarantino is brilliant. Big fan.

*****-For a few dollars more- I saw it before a long time ago. Even better than the first. An instant classic.

***-The wolverine- I hope Logan is better. Hugh Jackman is still awesome though.

****-Dawn of the planet of the apes- Cool movie with awesome CGI.

***-Dr. Strange- Not bad. Not awesome. I'm kinda Marvel tired really.

    ***-John Wick- Meh...typical action/revenge movie.

*****-Sicario- Great atmosphere, great acting, great cinematography. Just an awesome film.

*****-The revenant- Absolutely gorgeous picture with a great Dicaprio and some unforgettable scenes.

*****-Dallas buyers club- Amazing. Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto both give an outstanding performance.

***-Rogue one- Better than The last jedi but still not very exciting. Does fit well with A new hope.

Lord of the Rings The fellowship of the Ring: one of my favorite movies every and I think one of the best movies ever. I love the set work, the detail on costumes and makeup will go down in history, and Jackson's attention to Tolkiens writing is superb. Very well paced from start to finish.

Some of the camera work in that movie is excellent, the zipline shot they use to show the distance between Aragorn and Boromir always stands out to me.

The Greatest Showman - This is a slimy ball of cheese.

Coco - The visuals in this movie were really striking. Great movie.

Jumanji - Went in thinking it was going to be a trainwreck aaaaand I actually liked it. It was corny sure, but it had some clever use of tropes.

Black Panther - Really liked the costume design, thought the plot needed to be a little tighter, the villain a little less cliché (backstory good, personality = boring) but it was decent overall.

The Last Jedi - erggggggggggh this movie has legitimate issues with characters, pacing, the narrative, and the dialogue (okay every star wars film has problems with dialogue, but this one struck out the most since the prequels). It also has poor pay off from TFA, and I wasn't really excited for it's set ups either.

The Disaster Artist - This could have very easily just been a Room parody, but somehow it has a feel-good vibe to it, and ends up feeling like a tribute. Neat.

Mother - **** this movie. Like seriously. It's all ****ing allegory, and it results in an incoherent movie which has stained my brain.

I, Tonya - Margot Robbie , plus the use of the unreliable narrator device was done cleverly. Did enjoy.

IT - Like Stranger Things, child actors that can act (with good dialogue and writing/direction), makes all the ****ing difference.
