Dude I love Phil Spencer. One of the coolest most real guys in that high of a position I've ever seen in the game industry.
Why all the censoring though? No swastikas? Jeez. Btw can you say **** on tv in the US yet? Or show a boob?
Oh btw Sledgehammer just said they are putting swastikas in Campaign but leaving them out of MP and (****) Zombies.
Yes you can't say **** **** **** Btw One X. Its an upgraded version right? Not an entirely new console. Pretty logic to me. One XL One Plus One point five One 4K One Neo One 2 One Maxi One One Seven One Love One 720 One X. Seems legit.
Germany Banned all **** imagery in either 2013 or 2014 I cant remember. That is why you see it in older games but not newer games. Wolfenstein got around this by refering to the Nazis as the "Regime" and removed any **** symbolism. This cost them a lot of money to do, but seeing as how the entire series revolves around killing ****'s, I doubt they wanted to give up the entire German market. I don't think it would make much sense for Sledgehammer to make a new german version of CoD with all the **** stuff censored, and also a normal version with it included, seeing as this is a one-off game. Plenty of women served near the end of the war; They even did this in WW1. They were mainly medics, mechanics, and munition suppliers. So technically it is historically accurate. Britain was probably the most progressive in the sense that they were desparate for help. They started making parpaganda specifically targeting stay-at-home wives, encouraging them to get jobs that specifically helped with the war. The US joined the war effort much later so we weren't as quick to pushing women out there, but we still had our fair share of encouragement (this is where Rosie the Riveter comes from) We are still forgeting the most imporant part -- people dont play call of duty for its realism.
It can be realistic in the sense of sound, design, graphics, tactics, weaponry, historically accurate and all that. But actual warfare realism is not something you will achieve easily. Maybe someday.
