It's so sad that Saber Interactive was able to make a fully functional Halo game that actually takes older Halo forerunner and UNSC artstyles and updates it more towards 343i's style without alienating the look of the original trilogy+Reach, but it got scrapped. 343i need to look back at Halo Online and make their game look more like that than H5. P.S. Certain Affinity is literally less than 3 hours away from me by car
Just make sure you spray paint your name in a toilet stall to forever enternalize our beef on design theory. <3 My only request.
A MAN CAN DREAM, DAMN IT! *cries* On the cooler side of things, 343 heard about my half deleted map and said they'd put someone on recovering it from the ether. +++Respect
I've read a few articles about postmodernism with my morning coffee and this is a very vague concept for me, I can't grasp it well enough. With some things in the articles I agree and with some I wholeheartly disagree. Philosophical that is. I've skipped the art and architecture side because I don't give two shits about that stuff.
The definition I was referring to is fairly new and rapidly changed over the past few years. If you want to know what I'm really taking about, Jordan petersons explanations are the absolute best.
wew finished this map earlier tonite and it seemed like it worked pretty well in ffa https://www.forgehub.com/maps/nautilus.5299/ https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/...tspartin_b36052bf-024a-4a56-a297-a88a3cf1c1b8
Your fauna wall makes me want to do a sculpture exhibit map. Perfect excuse to have a human asymmetric layout
I've been thinking of something similar - my problem has always been incorporating small design elements into larger maps, I can never quite (put in enough time to) get the styles right together the wall is saved as a prefab on my waypoint file browser under "Japanese wall garden" I think. Don't know how Japanese it really is, but feel free to play around with it
My problem comes from aesthetic noise and cramped layouts, so complicated structures blocked by artsy staircases rooms and hallways seems well within my current limits
Go make a sculpture and I'll use it. I've already started drawing the layout. It'll be a good distraction from my current map bungling
It can be small and quaint or big and structure like. Each "base" is gonna have a honka honka sized sculpture to play with
