this is a nice idea but do u spawn with the machine gun? if u do then people might use that instead but i don't really think that any one will since it looks crammed. but i do like the idea of the pick your opponent part. Except the downfall about that is that the player that gets to pick could pick a person who bad with swords.nice map and remember keep o forging.
You dont spawn with a machine gun, use it to fight, and your opponent with a sword will kill you. trust me. You are able to get wins in a row, meaning that once you are hurt, you will not stay hurt. If somone is bad with the sword, this isnt the map for them, insane sword duels can be had, and it is even fun for the people in the holding cell to watch. be sure to use your quick melee by pressing "B" also dont jsut run in his face and slash, jump aroudn, circle eachother, it is crucial to you being tirumphant at knife fight. To the guy who said this gave a gladiator feel. I always thought this game put you in a gladiator type mood. the atmosphere is barbaric like a prison fight its cool.
After testing it with friends several times, we really liked this map. Even with a couple flaws, it was much fun. The 'choose your next victim' concept is alot of fun. One thing that was really annoying was 2-3 of the cells were easy to break out of by just slashing the grav lift, which needs to be fixed. Also, shooting down the fusion coils can take very long and can be somewhat frustrating. The arena could be a little larger. Otherwise the map is very well made. I rate it a 4/5. Good Job! Nice to see a *NEW* very unique map with great game play. ^_^
It looks good, and it looks like its fun, when playing with friends, so ill give it a download so i can play it with my friends.
You are right, there is two cells you can break out of, I just discovered that. I realize some people do have trouble shooting down the fusion coils. I am able to do it everytime without fail. I tried some other concepts but this one worked the best. In counter strike there used to be organized knife fights where you just selected the person by slashign towards them. but halo players are a different breed and they have to be locked in there cells, because no halo player will actually use honor rules. I guess be on the look out for a version 2.0 * You cant kill eachother at the same time. If you are playing with the correct amount of people which is 5, somone will always respawn in the arena
That must be really fun when you purposely choose your friends to kill them. Now you have the gameplay sorted, you can work more on the arena, if you want I could help make a big dome-ish roof for you
MANY POPES. I would really like that. but keep in mind you still have to beable to choose your opponent, maybe you could think of a more fail-safe way of selecting your opponent? If you are not too lazy, do what you can to this map, then let me download it off you before you release it here. to check it out.

Cool map, but i think there is a better version floating around. Check these pics. Apparently there are 'knife' swords spawned in rings of fire. The same arena's side1: middle part : other side:
If this map does happen to get featured, I have worked out all the kinks, and it is perfect now. Eazy-B I doubt that is a better version. How can swords spawn in a fire ring??? fire has to be started by a player. Also in the version I doubt they are alowed to choose there opponent, try my map you will see for yourself
i dont know, but i think that the one floating around from those screens is modded. did you count the number of swords? i dont think you can spawn that many. and also did you notice that there shorter than usual? there was an epitaph map with fires on it a while back, probably the same thing going on here. if any has info on where those shots originated from, it would be great. also there is an assault rifle in the middle, so i guess they can.
EazyB I think your right that is crazy, i have never seen swords that small. well if that map is better, this is for the other 99% of gamers who dont have mod capabilities.
