Just a question, does it help to forge with a friend or is it easier to forge alone? I always hear of poeple forging together and I was just wondering if it helps.
Lol, you just made me realize how every time Forge comes up, you could replace it with a slightly different one, and it'll sound really funny. Personally, I enjoy Forging in a group. Preferably larger than two, but less than four. Forging is such a complex mechanism, so you need to have some help from other people too. However, I'm usually in the situation where I must watch other people Forge, and then Forge by myself to make a map. Sadface.
I prefer to Forge alone, locally. I was forging with JAYclash yesterday, he was holding a bridge, trying to line it up with another bridge, I saw it perfectly and when he saved and quit, when we restarted it was completely off centred. I prefer to forge by myself, test it, and get tips from the people I test it with.
Forging by myself is easier because then you dont have loads of other people adding things where you were doing somthing etc.
When me and Tex forge we sometimes have an occasional lag problem now and then but besides that forging with a friend is my preference.
Heh. I found this thread through the shoutbox. For me it definitely depends who I'm with in forge. I usually sign on to a secondary account when forging, in case there is a job that requires two people to complete. Generally, if there's one of my friends who I know I can trust in forge, I'll invite them to help me out or just give feedback on what I'm doing.
Lol I just realized that as well. I was just wondering what other people do; I've personally used the 2-4 controller gimmick to help allign things, spawn falling fusion bombs, etc. because I dont have any friends to forge with because none of them like to forge.
Me and my friend only. The larger the group, the more people are likley to join and be complete assholes and delete everything before you notice it. I also have a crappy connection, and my forging abilities slow down when i'm not host. I usually forge alone because i have alot of unique ideas that can't be explained easily.
I Forge over Xbox Live, alone. I've tried forging with a couple of my best (online) friends. . . it's not that they mess with my stuff, but I'm a lot better than them lol. I always have to go over to what they're doing and straighten out walls and make things look better. Forging alone just gets better results IMO.
i always forge alone. all of my friends get pissed when i start a new round. everyone else just does their own thing.
