After posting your entry for the HAMMERFALL: Grifball Forge Contest in the Maps section on ForgeHub, please post a link to it in THIS THREAD ONLY. Remember the guidelines as well: Maps must be submitted by 11:59 PM PST on January 19th, 2017. Any submissions after that date will NOT be counted. Round 1 reviewing process will last 1 week, giving map submissions one last chance to fix any glaring gameplay issues. Nokyard will be assisting this process. Name: "Submerged" Author/Co-Author Gamertag(s): GreyMuffinBass Canvas: Depths Description: Cables are holding a giant box under the surface of the ocean. The glass walls, ceiling and floor show natural elements that surround the court. The organic scenery has various appearances to make orientation easy on the players. I kept true to realism and worked hard to make this believable. Structure - Glass is all that stands between you and the ocean. There are monsters out there, good thing you're safe in this box! Size - This is a huge background setting, almost filling the map. There were 1440 pieces used to make it. Court - The atmosphere of the ocean is intense. The area that the players occupy is dry and echoes when spartans get smacked. Visuals - Cool to see the sea. Viewing the ocean scenery below makes for a different experience while playing Grifball Updated the map using the helpful feedback provided by Nokyard (And some changes I had to make) I am still open to make major changes if ideas come up! Everyone's doing Sanghelios maps and I'm just sitting here like Map name: "Karman Line" Author: Nikko B201 Canvas: Parallax Description: "Red meets Blue where air meets space." -- This Grifball court is set in the drop bay of a UNSC warship. Try not to get vertigo, it'll throw off your game. Forgehub link: Karman Line Waypoint link: Waypoint *NOW OUTDATED* Update 30/12/16: - Improved lighting in the hangar - Added invisible blockers to the Pelicans to prevent ball interference Update 31/12/16: Update based on QA feedback from NOYKARD. - Replaced respawns with NOKYARD's standard Grifball 4v4 spawns. - Adjusted initial spawn running start ratio to 90%. - Cleaned up containment on the ceiling. - Attempted to correct some issues with lighting reflections on Red side. -- Note: the "corona" effect observed by NOKYARD does not appear in my game so this fix may be a work in progress. - Added some additional lighting to the ceiling to improve contrast. - Added a forcefield effect to the bottom of the hangar. This is a visual change only and the floor continues to behave the same way for gameplay purposes.
