We made it folks, it is officially Halo-ween. So a happy Halo-ween to you and yours first of all. Today we are here to announce the results of our Halo-ween prefab contest. If you missed it, then it basically went like this:
The Creative Force team setup an empty Haunted Mansion forge map waiting to be moved into. With that Haunted Mansion in existence, the Forgehub staff put out a request for the community to populate this with wonderful Halo-ween goodies in the form of prefabs. The end result would consist of various community members winning some Gold REQ packs for their awesome creativity and forging skills based on some indeterminent categories. Like a costume contest, but involving less work for the participants. With all these prefabs and an empty mapt he stretch goal would be to spit out an infection map created by the community by dropping as many prefabs as possible into that Haunted Mansion. A map truly made for the community, by the community.
With that out of the way, the results are in. The amount of work and creativity that was put into this contest by all of the participants was astounding. We saw expected entries like pumpkins, trees, skeletons, and your assortment of dead things - to be expected for Halo-ween - but we also got some unexpected entires in the form of epic pits of hell, gorgeous furniture that I would put in my house, and super secret trap doors. As communities do, you guys have provided us with a difficult set of decisions. Over the past week, the Forgehub and Creative Force teams went into digging through the many prefabs: exploring their potential, creativity, and sheer awesome.

Thank you for all of you who participated and for all of you reading out there. This won't be our last contest that takes advantage of this wonderful new feature. Prefabs are a powerful tool that allows individuals to spend a little time creating a re-usable piece for the community to enjoy. Barrier to entry is extremely low for these types of contests, and with this first one under our belt, we've learned a lot on how it should be managed for the future.
Thank you again for participating and enjoy the delicious diabetes inducing treats that will be coming your way tonight.
