Hey again Forgers! So, the Anvil update has been out for awhile now and now that the initial wave of recycled prefabs seems to be ebbing to an end, I'd like to do something a little special. This weeks edition of Thursday 13 will feature a Prefab showcase aimed at showing off the multitude of prefabs you guys have worked tirelessly over the past couple weeks. Looking to show off some of your sweet work? Want to get some live feedback on your prefab? Well look no further! This is something I wish to do in series, so each particular showcase will have a theme. The showcase will streamed live on my Twitch channel and will be archived if you wish to watch it after the fact. Where To Watch? - Twitch - ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How To Submit The process for submission is fairly simple. First, you will submit the prefab on this thread using the following format: Gamertag Prefab Name Showcase Title Link to Prefab Boom. Easy as that. The next step will be to add a special tag to the prefab, so it can easily be sorted out within the content browser. The unique tag we will use is: PREHYPE This will ensure I can locate the prefab easily if needed. Be sure to include the following things with your file as well, including: A Screenshot of the Prefab and Your gamertag as a Tag These things will help distinguish your prefab from copies. Any questions? Ask away! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Showcase 1 - Practical Prefabs The Needed, The Working, The Innovative Do you have a prefab designed to be versatile? Is it made with other maps in mind? Is it as good as a default Forge object? Would you like to see it scattered throughout the maps of many? Well here's your chance. The Practical Prefabs stream will be all about the things we always wished we had, or maybe didn't even know we needed. In this stream, we'll dive into the Prefabs that may come in handy when trying to give your map that extra aesthetic edge or when trying to tie a theme together neatly. Submission Guidelines Prefabs submitted will be judged based on the following attributes: - Practicality - How versatile is the prefab? - Detail - How intricate is the prefab? - Item Count - Is it a black hole for pieces, or barley noticeable? - Originality - Has this been done before? - Quality - What is the "Wow Factor"? Be sure to tune into the Thursday 13, Oct 6th to catch all the action and to see your prefab live! The Prefab Showcase will most likely occur at 7pm CST, but this may change so stay tuned!
So, uhh, would you be annoyed if I told everyone and tagged as many prefabs as I could with #prehype?
Agent Zero85 Flamethrower Practical To be edited in, the group is there, i just need to save it. Have you ever needed to solve a quick dispute? Or have a flood problem? This flamethrower is ranged, and efficient at burning your enemies to a crisp. Practicality and usefulness combined into one. The latest model features a rotating joint, to prevent the pesky flood from dodging the flames. And to conserve fuel, comes with a switch to control when it's throwing flames or not. The future has never been so bright. Screenshots will be edited in later today, as well as a gif demonstrating its capability.
tomtehtom Furnishings* Practical https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-gb/...ge-object-groups/bookmarks?gamertag=Tomtehtom *I would make a pack but I'd rather keep them separate due to the way people search for them. Also I've got a load of stuff so don't really want to add the tag. Sorry if this is a pain, just ignore my submission of it's too much of a hassle. I just thought I'd post my work here since I have 30+ prefabs and are creating more everyday Thanks a bunch!
Snowpeople420 Abductor V2 Practical https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/...eople420_1970459b-ce6a-4fb6-97cb-a40b18207211 or http://www.forgehub.com/maps/abductor.3912/ Its a phaeton with a tractor beam which varies in uses such as for mini games or infection etc. I found one of these browsing it was first made this guy Why but his was very simple (3 objects) and his didn't work very well and it would only pick up stuff and push u up into the air and u couldn't move with stuff. But with mine that i have put a lot of time in perfecting. It's fully functional. (81 Total Objects) slimmed down from 91. Here a sample of what it can do but it has been updated since i recorded this clip.
