Hey fellow forgers! I have some sweet design ideas for aesthetics that I was hoping to incorporate into core gameplay. The problem is, I'm not too terribly gifted in true halo core map design and smooth map flow/verticality. My suggestion is: if you happen to have/make a good blockout of a core map that you don't know what to do with aesthetically or simply have given up on, I thought it might be useful for straight up core map designers to post them here so I (or anyone else who finds inspiration by the designs submitted) could possibly give new life to them. Of course I would run the final design by you before completion in case you wanted to be listed as co-forger. I simply thought this might bring about new ideas and facilitate more people working together in forge. If you're interested, feel free to list out the map name in your file share, your GT, and maybe a few images of the blockout. Also, if another person wants to call dibs on a design submitted, just say so in the messages below. Cheers! -CDW
Thanks for the mention, but I've already passed it off to someone. I'm primarily going to be focused on the design phase from now on, so I'll certainly have some blockouts to submit at some point in the future. I was actually planning to make a thread where I could just put all of my blockouts up for adoption for the art phase, but this thread should do the trick. I generally focus on maps for 2-4 players, so there should be plenty of opportunity to implement visuals into them.
GT-Fluffypup809398 Map Name-WIP 1 The map is actually still in block out phase, though it's core design is done. I won't have a problem with handing of the aesthetics to you, but run it by me when you're done.
Here's a blockout that's up for adoption if someone is interested. Current name is Eventide. It should play 1v1 or 2v2 Slayer. Edit: Forgot to add a download link. Here it is - https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/..._a Chunk_be20ddc8-a3cb-4a5d-9e9a-005593f38687
Hey, I remember this Because of all of the 90 degree angles and disconnected bridges, I think an ancient mayan temple/garden theme would work really well, and I haven't seen any super impressive maps of that sort thus far.
