I updated LOADING ZONE because there was object miscoloring. Might have to go back in and update lighting a little, but it is fixed and playable. go give it a DL and like my peeps.

Think I'm gonna start a 2v2 map themed like the new Overwatch map, Eichenwalde. I love the castle and town aesthetic with bridges and death pits and ****, haven't made something like that in a while.

Genji is playable but suffers from a decent amount of framerate issues. Every time I get on forge I hope on Genji to try to find a few places to conserve objects... really need to do it with the terrain I'm sure I could use half the terrain pieces I currently am using.

If people can live through some framerate issues, I'd want to get games on Genji. Need 4v4. Hmu.

hey doods. so i was checking out tags in the content browser and came across this guy. His GT is SlashedTortoise, does anyone know him? He is completely ripping off Freakshow. He saved over my original map and used my aesthetics.



I don't really have experience with others plagiarizing my maps, so I don't really know what to do. do I just report him and move on? let it slide? its kind of a piss off, but everyone knows freakshow is mine, so I guess its not a huge deal.

What a **** tho.

This is what happens when they make a prefab system that is literally built to copy aesthetics.

Yeah, with the prefab system he would have likely put it in a different spot if it was even on the same canvas. If you go into his map and those pieces are on the exact same coordinates on the exact same canvas, I'd ask him politely not to steal your work. I don't think there has ever been any precedent of people actually getting punished for stealing a map in Halo.

When it comes to prefabs, I highly suggest anyone with any major aesthetic piece on a map be the first to prefab it. That way if it becomes popular people will at least see you are the person who made it. That might not sound like something you'd want to do because that would allow even more people to place it in their own maps, but people that want to steal stuff would probably prefab it themselves anyway.

 

Don't be that guy. Who cares if he copied it? Anything you make in this game is public domain if the file s public. Take it as a compliment and move on.
