Was in H3 the other poking around on some maps. The water looked so damn good in that game, and when you submerged it actually had depth and muffled audio and everything to actually make it seem like you were under, it wasn't just a 1 pixel layer like in Halo 5. It would splash and ripple when you walked through it and when you resurfaced it even had a sound and effect of water spreading, really convincing. <3 bungo Edit: oh and it even had fish swimming around
There was so much stuff that Halo 3 did right. It makes me sad when I think about how far we have moved from it. If an MMO can manage water filled with detail, animations, AI, and players without totally crapping out, we should be able to get more than 6" deep in Forge waters.
The water in Halo 5 certainly has great graphical fidelity, but it lacks the realism. It wasn’t designed for the camera to ever submerge in it. Hopefully this isn’t the case in Halo 6.
Yea idk what your talking about @MultiLockOn Halo 5 has excellent water... Better than Halo 3 if you ask me.
Sorry I have to disagree. Based on 343's track record this would be just in time for the release of the fileshare for Halo 6. Speaking of fileshare, I just posted an interesting pic over in the Announcing Anvils Legacy thread.
