There was nothing offensive about your first GT, so you have every right to be upset. It's like being a kid and getting in trouble for making up words that sound "dirty or naughty" or wtfeva.
But ne ways I would have just kept pushing them. t17mar ..... you should've tried that one.

Well, Klink came from when I was starting as a gamer, and I needed a "Game Name..." I was a huge zelda fan, and my RL name begins with K, so...
As for the 258, when signing up for my GT, Most of my usual variations were taken... so I looked to the numpad. (Yeah, just look, you'll see.)
I've had other names (more fanboyish) in the past, such as Neotendo123 or nin10col, but that was WAAAYYYY back.

I use to love to watch "The Animaniacs". The characters were Wakko, Yakko, and Dott. Wakko was the best. :D

No, but every 4-5 years, or maybe even as soon as every 2, they should go through an look at accounts that are 3+ years inactive. Then if they don't look like they're coming back, delete them and put the names back into circulation.

As long as they don't do a crappy delete like some websites I know, where they delete everything on the account but the name is taken forever anyways.

Or maybe they could just "freeze" accounts. If they're not on for a few years, their account gets "frozen" and the name is up for adoption. If you take it, they get renamed. Maybe they should add a number on the end. So I'd get Codexx and they'd become Codexx1. They'd be renamed on Xbox Live for searches and when they log in they'll get a message. "Hi, you've been offline for 5+ years since the service launched, so we let someone else have your name. Your are Now [Old Gamertag]01. If you want to have your name changed, you can add M$ points to your account and buy a new name for $10".

    In a perfect world... ::)

I have seen a dude change his gt several times actually, it's not bad if you don't mind the hassle of going through the same process over and over again. By the way his original gamertag was porchmonkeyaaron. Xboxlive had a legitimate reason to make him change his name, sorry Titmar, you just got cuaght up in the gamertag crusade by microsoft...

Mine was a third option after the first two were taken. It's a Simpsons reference. In one episode Bart and Lisa came across a horse named Duncan. For some reason (which I can't remember) they had to give him a new edgy image so they gave him a nose ring, painted his mane all different colors, and changed his name to Furious D and painted it on his side. Furious D was my second choice but it was taken. I was out of ideas so I just added my lucky number on the end.

Ok well i guess its my turn... I am sure many of you are wondering.

Well way back in the 5th grade (Yes I have had this name that long, im a junior now) I went to winter camp. At this camp there is this game called Broom hockey which is the most intense game of all time, but anyways at breakfast on the morning of the tournament someone dropped their donut into their milk and someone yelled "EWW SOGGYDOUGHNUT!!" That ended up being our teams name in broom hockey, and my screen name for AIM and then everything from there is history.

For those who need to see broom hockey:

i bought a pair of shoes 3 years ago. they were chuck taylor converse all star shoes made of corduroy. while i was wearing them my brothers friend came up to me and said "hey, nice corduroy chucks" it had a ring to it... sure enough it was completely original and unthought of so i stuck with it.

hence the gamer tag, "corduroyCHUCK" (its also my name for every account on anything i have) its gone through its variations, CorduroyChuck, corduroy chuck, etc etc...

so my real name isn't really chuck,
i wonder what it could be...

Well, my cousin was talking about evil stuff, and i thought why not "Evil Penguin"? and the 102 are the first three letters of my bday, but the rest wouldn't fit. I didn't know enough just to do something like "3vil Penguin" or EvilPenguin or something so Evil Penguin102 is it...and evil cows are cool too.

W00T for Magic!!!... my GT: LoxodonPunisher stems from a long and frusterating battle between cool names and the cool names already being used on Xbox Live...so i said f*ck it, and randomly drew a card from my White Equipment deck...guess which one it was?...the f*ckin elephant ;)

    My gamertag is Pyschopompus

Ive always had this business man like quality too me and have been trying to "get mine" since i was like 12. Anything i could think of to score cash, lemodaid stands..... managing more then one limonaid stands and splitting profits with friends.... just weird crap lmao

The greek god Hermes also goes by the name Pyschopompus.

Pyschopompus is called Zeus' Messenger, but is also considered the Greek god of market, trade, and commerce.

For those of you fimilar with only roman gods, this would be Mercury, and everyone knows most our planets are named after the roman gods.

    Yup.... lol
