It started with parappa the rappa (or so I'm told) anyways guitar hero made it popular, and more recently, Rock band made its way in and is fighting for the spotlight, but does anyone know who first made the guitar and drum games? Konami. Yes, Konami. Percusion freaks (or the one i played) had five drum pads, plus the foot pedal. (The guitar game they made only had three buttons) Anyways. They have a new game coming out getting into the home music scene. Rock Revolution. What i read on it, the drums have six pads, plus a foot pedal. (each pad representing one cymbol or drum on a kit). This is also supposed to featuring making your own songs, with a pretty good song list you can find on Wikipedia (They have system of a Down for Crying out loud!). But with Guitar Hero World tour, and Rock band. idk. What do you think will happen, and what do you think of the music scene in general.
parrapa is the worst example of the music based video game genre that you could ever find, seriously there where so many before it, better ones that deserve recognition.
Well thank you very much for the examples =] I want to try Patapong, but seeing how it's a PSP game and i only want a 360 doesn't look like I'll be playing it any time soon, unless they make a 360 version... Lol... No one really cares about the first music game, just what's the newest one =P GH4 is looking pretty cool =] Can't wait to see all the shitty songs made on it xD
sorry, to be honest I'm at school and the blocks prevent me from finding the types of titles I'm talking about,
