Don't generate on tidal if you are past 25% lightmap. It caused my game to crash in both custom and forge. Its pretty broken ATM
at the point where my map appears to be playing well according to different lobbies, but i'm not yet satisfied with the gameplay or aesthetics; therefore, i want to push it further. however, the aesthetics that i want completely change the lighting source, and working with that lighting source will most likely lead to a different design altogether, so i dunno. wish i could just copy pasta the map between canvases
I miss when you used to post novels explaining why you made every little change and then at the end always ended up scrapping that version kappa
takes hours to do that with an organic map. tidal terrain tho > now we just need snow that doesn't look like it came from an ashtray

Working on something new. 2v2 city map, but with a cali/miami theme. Been trying to nail this look since 2A. Very, very early into this one, thats about a quarter of the layout haha. Such a shame about Tidal's lighting problem. And all of the bugs and glitches (apart from the amazing weapon glitch), makes me wonder how all of these huge things went unnoticed. Then again, I have very little programming or coding knowledge, so I could be missing something. Oh well. I'm going camping for a week anyway starting tomorrow, so hopefully everything will be fixed by then
It seems another very annoying glitch as cropped up.... The game is now treating phased objects as normal objects while trying to spawn them in. This means you will get a "not enough physical space" message while trying to spawn a phased object into the map in an area where there are already objects. For outdoor maps this is mainly a non isssue but trying to update my completely indoor map has been a nightmare.
That explains why they separate when they are merged but not group when duplicating a shape.There also seems to be some rotational shifting that seems to happen because my **** was not lining up even though when I did the same thing on glacier before the update it was fine. --- Double Post Merged, Jun 30, 2016 --- A dream of a fat man.
So in case anyone forgot/wants to know how to break physics post May update, this just worked for me: Once you hit 99%, spam 48x48x4 cylinders until you can't spawn anymore. Delete one and spam weapon pads until your physics hits 100% . Your FX budget will probably go over too. Spawn about 10 giant rocks and put them on the side of the map to keep your physics broken. Now you just delete all the **** you just spawned and voila. Credit to @WeedCough and @MultiLockOn I was at 146% before the update (down from about 158%) and I wasn't having any trouble. The update put me around 96%, so I was planning on going up a tad more. I'll be redoing most of the rocks and that'll free up budget anyway, but I need the extra pieces either way.
