Wow! A whole thread dedicated to me?

I've explained how I showcase maps in the past, but I'll do it again here since it's the topic of the thread.

I browse through the maps section on Forgehub once or twice a day and if I see anything I like, I download it and put it on my list. Then I run customs and play through all of the maps that caught my attention. If the map plays well, or I really enjoy it - I showcase it. If while in customs, someone shows me a map that I like, and they are ready for it to be published - I'll showcase it.

Sending me a direct message isn't really the way to go. Full disclosure I get about 10-15+ maps sent to me every day. Multiple tweets, messages here on Forgehub, TONS of messages on Xbox Live, messages on Youtube and plenty of comments. It's simply not possible for me to check every message and every map blindly. This is why I use Forgehub to screen maps ahead of time.

I do miss good maps while browsing Forgehub though, which is annoying. I currently don't have a submission system in place (I've had them before in the past and they do not work at all). Browsing Forgehub is the best way, and playing customs with the viewers. I run customs almost daily, inviting who is online at the time. I also post a little "update" on Xbox alerting all followers that I'm running customs and I will invite anyone who asks. Lobbies normally fill up very quickly but I always try and get new people in.

In terms of what maps I feature, I've explained this in the past - I never feature a map based on the author. I'll showcase stuff by completely unknown forgers, and I'll showcase stuff my friends make. I care about the maps, I don't care who makes them. If it's a good map that I enjoy, I'll showcase it. I don't consider my channel to be a super serious hard-core forging channel either. It's a fun channel, I showcase fun maps that every can enjoy. That doesn't mean I won't showcase extremely polished slayer maps though, I showcase content I have fun with.

The idea is that if I had fun with it, I'm sure the rest of the customs community will too, and that's the channels end goal. To provide the customs community with content to play and enjoy. And of course, other bonus stuff like contests, live streams, tutorials and live customs.

So really, what you need to do is make quality stuff and post it on Forgehub. Spend some time on your post too. Normally when someone has the patience to type up a nice thread, it means they are proud of their map and are willing to go the extra mile for it. If I play the map and theres stuff I feel needs to be fixed before I showcase it, I'll send you a message with the feedback.

Hopefully this clears that up. It's hard for me to see every map, I get sent a lot is all. Thanks!

    Also:
    Wow, Thank you!

hey thanks for taking the time to reply! I really appreciate it =)

I guess I just felt like I was created several maps that were relatively unique, and several people were telling me that they were really amazed with my stuff and they should be in matchmaking yada yada (sorry if this sounds pompous, im really not trying to be pompous), and I was trying to figure out how all these people were getting so many hits and getting attention. I thought maybe it was because I havent been in the forge community in a since halo 3, so maybe being a nobody meant the big sites were not going to feature me.

any way, I hope some of my maps catch your eye, I put a ton of work and artistic emphasis into making them all look and work really well. /

and thanks for all your work and tutorial videos, I used them as the basis of how to learn how to do forge in halo 5!

So what you're trying to say is don't message you stuff like "Hey @Mr Pokephile you should showcase my map Cesspool. It's a really awesome map that makes all the other infection maps look like the stuff that floats in my map."

I actually have your newest map Urak-Hai on my list right now! So sit tight! Your thread also inspired me to finally make a video detailing all the info I explained here to help avoid confusion in the future.

I see what you've done here. Clever. I'll take a look.
