So here are some early images of it so far and I would like your feedback to make it feel even more so scary and fun. Ive looked at other peoples maps for ideas but I didnt want to take their settings as my own. Details of location --------------- Map is Parallax with the Theme/Skybox set on Ascendance, I also have the screen effects filter on Green Process. Near Fog is on Soft Prim and Sec colors are white, scaled to .30, thickness is 10, and brightness is set to 1 Distance Fog color is black, thickness is 10, brightness is 1.70 Cloud Shadows are Northern Darkness and scaled to .75 I dont want it to be completely dark because then nothing will show up properly.
If you have dark areas a green process with fog will make it look blue instead of black as well as making and red lights turn pink for the infected. Biggest tip, get someone to test it in infection customs so that you can see what it looks like as a human and the infected. --- Double Post Merged, May 20, 2016 --- And generate lighting often! You may have to exit and go back in to make things visible but you will get a good idea of how dark things really are. Thanks for the tips and I am still working my way on it for sure. I have made little progress because I want it to be nicely detailed but have a good flow of gameplay. Until I get it up and going for actual play I will need people to help me test it. Any idea on where I could get reliable people?
Looks very nice. For tips I'm not your guy, I made one infection map some time ago and did everything wrong so... I think there is an infection testing lobby somewhere around these forums if that is what you're looking for.
Right here, I've got a couple people but getting us all at the same time is a challenge. You might try @CANADIAN ECHO for lobbies, I think he hosts quite a bit, if not then he should be able to send you to a reliable party.
With an Infection map, always try to add some variety between the holdouts, to make the map have more interesting gameplay. For this, and any other future Infection map.
