Halo Waypoint Thread + 343 Response Reddit Thread Halo Customs Thread HOTFIXED 5/13/16 !!!!!! Issue: Infected players can hijack and use vehicles, and that option cannot be disabled. In previous Halo games the Infected could not hijack or use vehicles by default, but previous Halo games also had a Vehicle Use setting in the Traits options so we had control over it. Obviously this isn't a big deal for matchmaking since there aren't any vehicles, but it's a major problem for custom games and infection minigames. We need the Vehicle Use setting (that we had in Halo 3, Halo Reach, Halo 4, and H2A) to return as an option for Player Traits to resolve this issue. Hopefully this happens sooner than later because a lot of infection minigames rely on the premise that infected can't use vehicles. Bravo Response: "Hey all, apologies for the later than usual reply here - as soon as we spotted this thread earlier today, we sent this feedback over to the multiplayer team. Wanted to make sure I followed up here. Thanks as always for the feedback, and keep it coming (on both Infection options and otherwise)."
How can they overlook stuff like this? It's a small thing but still, they knew custom games would be popular with a forge like this, so they should make it the best they possibly can.
We noticed this almost immediately because our first custom infection game was drive or die. Kinda awkward when zombies are seen in turrets driving around the map :/
