It's been a few weeks since I last fussed with my map so I actually started to look forward to having a day to finally work on it. I had a few small but interesting ideas that I wanted to try out so I sat down and set to work. Once I got into the map I realized there was a little tweaking that I wanted to do first. 6 hours later, happy with all the small adjustments I made, I sat back and looked at my map. A grin shot across my face as I said out loud, "Who the ****s going to notice." I started laughing like a crazed idiot. I had just spent 6 hours and only I can tell you what was done.
You should make a meticulous list of all the slight changes you made and then post a link to it in the chat every 5 minutes.
It's okay man, everybody gets hit with that now and then; "what's the point"? Lol But, you could just as easily ask yourself that at the end of a multiplayer match, or after a movie. If you've grown at all during frivelous hours spent on tv/video games etc, i'd say it's better than alot of other things people spend there time on.
Seriously though, if someone was on the other side of the door they would have thought me crazy. It's like I was Uma Thurmon in Kill Bill trying to wiggle my big toe, and then when it moved 2 millimeters I was all "WOOO!!!!" Nothin.
Probably 90% of the time I spend in forge is working on small details and adjustments that a lot of forgers probably wouldn't even care about. I have to do things the way I want them done though, because if other people are happy with it but I'm not, then what's the point. I learned long ago that for me personally, I can only forge for my own satisfaction, otherwise it would feel like a total waste of time. I can't justify the amount of time I spend in forge if I'm measuring it's worth by other peoples perception, or even enjoyment, of my work.
