So ended up reviewing an old map I'd made and rethinking some of the layout. Scale is still a concern for me, but playtesting is the only way to really nail any of that kind of thing down. Worked for ages on the lighting though, and I'm really pleased with the results. As I think it's a little larger than normal, I've made an Infection variant (because why the hell not?) and submitted it too. Ethereal
I don't have any images yet, but my next project is a Forerunner installation on the tip of a snowy mountain. Heavy inspiration from Avalanche, The Ark and of course the magnificent CE

So remember when I said I was done with forging? Well what I meant to say was that I was done with being done with forging. Sorry for any confusion. On a serious note, this is my current project. It's a reforge of Marina, a map I posted a WIP thread for about a month ago (same time I "quit") but this map has been calling me ever since. Purely once said to me that he thinks about maps for a long time before building, and if he is still excited about the design after a long time then it's worth building. This idea combined with my recent boost in design fascination via the Doom beta, I couldn't help but forge once more. I present marzipan(?)

As a test, everyone please update your map submissions and enter in the appropriate link for your files. Our current system scraped map download numbers in the past. I'll need to update some things in the back end to properly reflect 'bookmarks'. Should be happening soon.

Hello, so I'm working on a new map, a remake of my home town city of Bangor, it's fairly accurate but a little large and uses most of the pieces. It is the town clock, Deiniol shopping centre, and the high St. All layout is made from research, pictures and Google Street map. Been enjoying this project. It's not as detailed as I'd like, but I didn't realise just how big the map would turn out. I'd planned to make more but it would be far to big. I may shrink down depending on testing. We will see. I've added a link at bottom of post if you want to have a preview. Lighting and overlap is good. The layout is now finished and it may be my first halo 5 map published, after I test it. Probably btb, works on slayer and ctf so far. Link
