Here's anothe WIP. 2v2-4v4 map with a punished CE inspired layout. I did a small art pass on it but @darkprince909 just got ahold of it to make it look gorgeous!
Things I've gathered: -There's a pipe being supported by something -There's a splinter grenade located on the pipe -He's picked up 2 plasma grenades while walking through to find a preferred spot to take a screenie -Two Power Weapons -It seems like an Assault on the Control room themed level since it's CE based -It's very grey like many CE structures -There's the snow falling fog effect -It took him 6:34 seconds to build, a new record -It looks like there's a facade structure on the cliff face -All you could ever want to know, captured perfectly in one screenshot. Shows you the true art of map construction if you can see all in a single screenshot of a snowy pipe. Git gud Goat.
It is a pretty terrible screenshot huh? Haha. Still tells you that a blockout of mine has begun an art pass and is snowy and covie. Should be in public beta relatively soon. Here's an image of the original layout.
This is for everyone that asked me to post the Nexn stuff I had. I thought he had a whole album with all of the sketchup screencaps he uploaded but it looks like that album is private now. I had probably too much fun jumping in and out of the gravity volumes. It will cause me many deaths in customs.
So lost about 5 hours of work on my crystal map yesterday but it made me work on purporbital and its coming along great. Shld be up n ready for customs in a few hour's! Also have a new dea for a map that meshes a ton of themes into one. Here's the pitch. Its a human archeology dig site on a frozen planet (parallax or glacier) The top level will be ice/snow and human scientific structures that resemble portable space station structure(think martian base concepts) Than there will be a fissure near the center with the ground caving in and giving way to a giant cave with sand and abode homes built along the cave walls of an ancient race that used to live here. (This is borrowed from the map I lost progress on) In the center uncovers underneath the sand will be an ancient alien techy artifact that this society's life was clearly based around. At the artifacts center will be my crystal from the previous map and alpine terrain and plant life growing around that. Confusing? Oh, the human scientific structures will be getting attacked by covies. --- Double Post Merged, Mar 20, 2016 --- Human, covie, fantasy, scfi all in one!
Now thats some nostalgia..heres some pics of the version I made for Nexn, this might have actually been the first map I made in Halo reach. I'd also forgotten how jank those stunt ramps look...
Working on a flood themed map: http://www.forgehub.com/threads/wip-infestation.151223/ I was thinking it might be too small for 4v4, but it was play tested with 6v6 and seemed to be doing fine.
Has anyone had any luck getting a weapon to start spawning at 1 minute into the game and then every 2 minutes after that? So 1:00, 3:00, 5:00, etc.? @Zombievillan i think you managed it on trestles, care to share?
New member, woo! I think I'm technically a "new Forger" by the standards of this community - meaning only 200ish hours spent with H2A Forge, and no finished products to show. BUT! I popped my H5 Forge cherry this weekend, and am working on a map tentatively title "Rampant", due to having Overgrown(CoD4:MW) in its DNA. It's still in very early prototyping stages, but I think the idea's got legs. Super excited. ^_^
