Now, I know this has been happening to other people, but I can't seem to get around it and it has completely broken Forge for me. When I select more than one item at a time and open the menu- whether to color the pieces or group them, whatever- some of the blocks selected will randomly reset, making them go all wonky. This problem only started in the past few days for me; up until then, everything was fine. I have a map that's nearing completion, but I can't color the pieces without it taking all day, and it's ruined my love for the project. Please, Forge gods, return my working multi-select!
So...most of the time this works, but I had a few pieces it wasn't working for last night. I deselected the piece, selected and deselected a separate piece, and then came back and re-selected the original piece. Then it worked fine. So yeah...still some strange stuff going on regardless of what you do, but it definitely helps to make sure you don't have your selector touching anything when you press X.
I would also completely avoid having objects that Respawn On Disturbed inside groups. Avoid like the plague. I think Respawn On Disturbed is the only setting that can create additional copies of objects and those can reappear after deleting the original group and ruin your map. Throw in some Save Ases too.
Apparently, this was fixed along with the invis. blockers in the little update earlier this week. Hammer Storm had essentially broken a bunch of stuff, but it's good now, I think.
If only. Ran into it a bunch just a couple of hours ago. It's a crapshoot - there's no sure-fire way to replicate it and it doesn't always happen with the same object/group.
I like it. It brings an unexpected element into forge, maybe your prefect forging isn't always perfect and now you have to account for that. Kinda like bloom in Reach. It keeps you on your toes. I'm really getting sick of people complaining about 343 just because they can. If Bungie added this feature everyone would love it.
Yeah, I like it. It increases the forging skill gap. I mean, forging with predictable rotation is just too easy, imo.
I'm not sure if this thread has become a joke or not... Anyhow, does anyone have a solution for this issue, or is this just something that we have to hope gets fixed at some point?
