Me and Schnitz are tight, he can handle it and I expect him to throw it back. I can do this with my eyes closed! Lol
I think everyone should do what they want and stop telling everyone else what to do. (The irony in this post ) At the end of the day forge is part of a video game and this is an online forum about part of a video game. Sometimes you guys go overboard.
It's a hobby. And it's one that I think we all enjoy learning and getting better at. I think if we all continued to forge but were never serious about it the forging community would be a very boring and uninspiring place. Yes our tools are limited VISUALLY, but there's nothing an actual level design dev deals with in gameplay that us forgers don't. I LOVE how serious we take it, level design is just a really cool science in the video game realm. What you don't want is people being douchebags. That's the difference.
Eh, it's nothing really. We cool. Me and Salty have very different perspectives on a lot of things, but we cool.
If I didn't take Forge seriously, I'd be playing Destiny instead. Reach is the last Halo I liked playing "just to play" with its massive customization and modes like Invasion, ZBNS, Anniversary and Score Attack. Destiny is basically Reach with shittier maps, so...
I want to treat this like it is referring to me, because your indirect "shade" throwing usually is. I think it's a good thing that the community as a whole, yourself included, is passionate about level design. We all inspire and learn from each other, and the passion is what keeps us pushing forward to improve and learn. Just stop with the indirect criticisms Schnitzel. You pride yourself as being brutally honest, so at least be consistent.
I think I need a co-forger for a 4v4 snowbound inspired map. It would look like snowbound but be good.
It's not really you Max, as I'm pretty sure you don't have any aspirations of breaking into the industry. There's a catch 22 if I name names, because I'm damned if the individuals deny it, and I'm damned if I keep it indirect. Multi probably said it best, being passionate about level design is great, just don't be a douchebag about it. That's really what I'm trying to hammer home, but I you know how I have a way with words... Never comes off half as well as I intended. It's a hobby for most of us, a very impassioned hobby, but still a hobby nonetheless. I'd like to see people being less headstrong about what design theory is best.
What about an opacity option for the weapon pad holograms? Power ups on pads are annoying in their current visual form.
Why do you need a co-forger for it? I would gladly help on visuals, but I suppose you already want to make most (all) of them.
Didn't mean to start an all out request thread, lol. There is a thread for that really I just couldn't help it. I really want the weapon pads to be customized.
