Welcome to Forged Friday, a custom game and testing lobby! Current Number of Maps Tested since Running through Forgehub: +1000 Forged Friday is a custom game lobby designed to create and encourage community with other Halo players while playing on maps forged by community members with the goal of the lobby to help encourage and improve the creations of the forgers. I don't like holding people to rules but these are pretty simple and I think we can all agree that these are not at all hard to accomplish. They aren't numbered because it should be pretty equal across the board on importance. Rules: Have fun Be respectful Don't rage Don't quit in the middle of a match The games are streamed through Twitch.tv to better spread and encourage more community interaction with those playing the game. It also provides the map creator a place to go and watch and listen to peoples encounters with the map and hear their opinions. Twitch Link: Max Extra's Twitch Alliance Testing Network Twitch The schedule has been pretty regular for the past few months and its pretty easy to find. I have also set up the schedule to best accommodate all time zones(for the US and early risers in Europe). Schedule: Custom Lobby and Party Chat are open at 7:45 PM Central Time, Your time (look it up). Custom Game begins at 8:00 PM Central Time 16 players -> 02 players games Lobby ends around 3:30 - 4:15 AM Central Time The lobby is designed to play all game types from Mini games to Core maps, from BTB to 1v1's. So feel free to submit what ever you want. I only ask that while the lobby will assist you by playing your map and provided feedback and their general opinions afterward I HIGHLY suggest you make sure your map is playable and works properly. If a map does not have a win condition or for any other reason becomes unplayable or unable to be won the game will be ended. Also to better spread the load of maps being submitted to other maps and to allow other players to get their maps tested here are some map guidelines. Submission Guidelines: A player may submit 3 maps These maps must all be different no duplicates Make sure the map is playable before submitting Links to the game type and the map must be provided before Friday in order to be played If you submit the map without, PM me when you update the post with the link Map Counts for a week 10 BTB(16 player) or less 10 infection(12 player) or less 20 4v4 (8 players) or less 10 2v2 (4 players) or less 5 1v1 (2 players) or less 5 other(x amount of players) or less 35 map cap Submitting maps following a certain format helps me add maps to my spread sheet to get the map ready. They can also help me determine what you want done with the maps. I work with a group called the Alliance Testing Network. this is a group of forgers and community members who's goal is to help the community forgers create maps and improve themselves as forgers with the end result is having the Forger create matchmaking quality maps. Please follow the Submission forms below. ATN maps only get played once a week like all the others, but if you submit them here they get passed to the other testing lobbies and will be played in their lobbies through out the week. PM us when the map is updated. Have room for another? I'd love to test some maps for people so that I can post some reviews or offer opinions. I'm also interested in playing good maps (aka not mine) in order to learn from them. But if people wold like to test mine I'd be more than happy to comply. Here's a link to my map, Degradation, and below are maps I'm interested in reviewing. Food for thought. Artisan's Element TreFull's Lockout (Lockout remake) The Fated Fire's Starlight TFA Daryl's Pinnacle (Pinnacle remake) SaltyKoala + Purely Fat's Give me 500 (what even is this map?) Overdozis' Smokestack GT: n0hbody
Thanks for the map suggestions you and all of them have been added to the game night march 6th. We may have larger teams than recommended for the maps but i still plan on playing them out. towards the end of the night when players leave we will get down to the right size to test some of them again with the recommended team sizes
It looks like there's 7 people signed up - if that 8th slot is still open, I'd love to take part! GT: Sn1p3r C I'm just finishing up killzones, intro cams, and spawns on a breakout map this afternoon, so I haven't finished the WIP thread yet, but I can update this post when it goes live. File: Avenue (Beta) Gametype: Breakout [WIP] Thread for feedback
I'm open to play most Fridays, and pretty much any night except Tuesdays. Gamertag is: Pat Sounds If you have room for more maps in future sessions there are two I'd like to offer up the following levels. They are remixes of each other, but with pretty different designs... Map: Circuit Breaker Mode: Strongholds or Slayer Map: Power Strip Mode: Slayer If there's no space for more maps, no worries. I'd be happy to just play some great forge levels with you guys!
Everything submitted to this point has been added to the game night for March 4th Can i get a name for the map along with a game type and link to its post or WIP post? Your maps have been added please add a link for them either to the WIP Post or a Map post so that feed back can be submitted. Youve been added but a map post or a WIP post link would be great to get feed back Thanks again everyone the lobby will continue to fill up till we hit 16 people after that its first come first serve on getting in to the lobby. we will continue to take maps and will try to get them all as long as we have people to test them.

Ok, well the project still isn't posted, because of work and stuff, but! The official map name is Mayhem, specifically (IIRC) Mayhem 1.0.2. It, as stated, will require 16 players, and is in a never before seen style of mapmaking called "Big Team Breakout" (or BTB, for short ). It's the same as regular Breakout, but will require 4 teams of 4 players each. I will be there anyway for a test, so if there's any confusion, then i'll be a question away. Disclaimer: This is not my map, but the result of work that me and a friend did. We got into an argument, and blocked each other. I've decided after 3 months not working on it that i'd release it, after a few playtests, of course.
Thanks everyone for coming out to help test your fellow forgers maps! Please remember to leave feed back on their map threads. the easiest way to find them is to go to their map name on Session spoiler tag in the OP and click it to follow the link. remember we dont get better if we dont get feed back! Also I have begun the sign ups for week 2 so feel free to post you maps or sign up in advance
I had a blast! Lots of killer maps in the most recent lobby...Great work to everyone. For next time, I'd like to give a test to a map I'm working on but isn't posted anywhere online yet. It's the zero gravity space dogfighting map we played briefly last time. I'm working on a single base, 4v4v4v4 strongholds variant of the level. The gametype will be called "Boarding Party", though I'm still settling on a name for the map itself. I'll post more info once I've gotten some more work done on it.
Here's feedback thread for what I'm gonna submit next week: http://www.forgehub.com/threads/wip-battle-of-orion-btb-space-battle-mini-game.151085/#post-1630479
