Honestly this. Many control settings for ages in multiple games, especially for joysticks, have settings to manage them to create better usability for those who would prefer things to be different. I duplicate more often than not and it's become intuitive for me. However I'm ALL for control customization. They have control settings for inverted and not for standard Halo play and I don't see it as an unreasonable ask to have inverted and non-inverted options for different forge "modes" as well.
Honestly, I had no idea what this was even referring to. I even went into forge and started duplicating blocks to see if I noticed anything odd with the camera, and I didn't. THEN, I remembered how thrown off I was when duplicating pieces when H5 Forge came out, and I realized that it's so ingrained in me to 'detach' from objects after I duplicate them that I didn't even realize I was doing it anymore. My hands just do it automatically without my brain being aware of it. It's bad. It needs to go.
Personally, I don't even notice it anymore and I'm used to it now. That being said, it's clear that a lot of people want it changed - so I'm for it.
I may be the only one who loves inverted controls. But then again, I play inverted everything when it comes to the controller.
Like most have said, it's minor at this point and I've more or less acclimated to it, but I don't use it. So if the intention is to orient the camera in a useful way easily, it basically adds in an extra step to where I have to drop the object and reposition myself manually. So yeah, I'd get rid of the inversion.
I wish it was a option to make it inverted or normal. But I'm at the point where I just by pass without noticing
I'd say no but like others, I find it a minor nuisance. I've gotten into the habit of clicking out of it and don't even notice anymore. I play with inverted controls and the forge inversion feels weird so I don't even use it. If it was switched I might use it.
Definitely not a fan of it, but I've gotten used to it at this point. Would like to see it go, for sure.
I too thought it was a bug. If I wanted my controls inverted I'd set my controls to inverted. Is this honestly something they intent? I can't find a single reason why they would do that.
It has only ever confused me. A slight interruption, and I'm back to what I wanted to do. I've never utilized it in my forging. Just feels like it doesn't need to be there. I'm used to breaking out of it now, but it would be nice to see it gone or have the option to remove the feature.
I could be wrong here but it seems like they just updated it so it doesn't focus when you duplicate something.
