Xandrith submitted a new map: Cobalt - Chill out inspired 2v2 map! Read more about this map... --- Double Post Merged, Feb 17, 2016 --- I'll add an updated walkthrough later today.
I like the aesthetic. The map has a lack of texture but it doesn't shocked me, 'cause the side of the platform, using breakout blocks, create a nice effect and add some variations. It looks totally normal that no wall, roof or ground have texture and it's really nice with the shaders. The 4th screenshot has a really cool light effect ! I think you should work more the lighting of the map, to create some contrast as we can see in this screenshot. Play with shadows could reinforce the aesthetic of your map.
So I tried to breakout on this because I saw breakout objects. I don't know if it isn't setup correctly or something because it didn't work. You might want to go check that out.
Always like your maps 1) Clean forging 2) Focused This map is not my style but I can definitely appreciate it. Sorry I couldn't join yesterday, I would like seeing how this plays though. Sometime this week I could be down for playing a few games on this
Played some games last night with Warholic and Duck and this is one was my favorite among the bunch. I liked how Camo was the only thing on a pad to give you direction on snagging it, but someone could also grab sniper to counter. Breakout color scheme is lovely too. Sneak edit.
How come there's no zombies when I play this? It's just humans running around fighting but there's not even an energy sword. Also I can't find the fire bomb grenades.
Like I appreciate the effort, but I got to say man.. This is the shittiest Chill Out remake I've ever seen, the layout is not even close to the original. :/
The chill out vibe is strong! I appreciate the clean forging and use of the breakout pieces. I have this on queued for customs. Seems like a perfect 2v2 size.
I'm sorry for what I started in your thread Xandrith. If it makes you feel better I set your map up for Breakout.
Excellent work on here Xandrith. I think this is the best layout I've seen from you yet. PS - Res loves your death pits.
