EVENT COMPLETED VoD here ** Follow me on Forgehub to get alerts when I make these posts ** Reply to this thread if you have a map you would like to test Event Time: Saturday at 8PM EST Event Location: www.twitch.tv/iParaTVImportant note: Stream audio is configured so the stream will hear everything everyone says. On that note i believe it to be necessary to mention that all talkative, nonsensical 12 year olds need not apply. Event Details: For the last few weeks I have hosted a customs event on Saturdays. Each event lasted about 5 hours as we tested over about 20 different maps each week. The idea behind these custom game events is to give map developers a chance to see their maps played, give the community a chance to see what we've done with forge, and give my friends and I an opportunity to have some great Saturday gaming and streaming. By the end of the week I will choose 15-20 maps for the event. Once again I will try to spread out the gametypes between competitive, action-sack, and some clever, custom creations. Event Duration: I would estimate the duration of the stream to be about 2-3 hours. Last time it was 5 hours, as was the time before that, and next time it could be 10 hours. Depends on the traffic, the atmosphere, and the fun. Event Feedback: If you attended the last event, either by watching the stream or playing in the lobby, how could I make the next event better? Did you like the custom videos I did for the event such as the intro video and the map previews? Would anyone be interested in airing videos you make on the stream before you publish to youtube? Event Schedule: I will update this post with a list of maps lined up for the testing event. Feedback will be actively provided through stream. I won't be able to make it unfortunately (hockey game with the little bro), but would you mind tossing "Battlegoose!" on "Battlegoose Stadium" into the rotation? Should work anywhere between 4v4 and 8v8 just fine - just make sure teams are Red and Blue.
So i've got 2 Slayer or Strongholds on Breached. (whatever you want really) Breached is a core map type and big teamCTF on Highway. This built for ctf and is more of a mini game type of map than a core map.
I just released my Unreal Tournament remake of Facing Worlds along with a companion gametype Facing Worlds UT CTF. You can find this classic CTF map and gametype on my profile or by adding xXorcrisXx. Edit: I should mention that the map plays best with 8-12 people but can support 16. Also the gametype is very important to the maps playability.
Well I'm a compeditive forger, so just tell me what u need here's a list of a few maps I've made though: Unistreet, 6v6 ctf map (primary gametype) Complexity, reimagination/remake of h4's complex Trevelyan, 8v8 map for all gametypes Landrise, remake of h4's Landfall (don't do ctf on it), and it's one of my personal favourites They are all uploaded to forgehub so just take a look, and drop me a like if you enjoy them
I would love to have you guys play my Prisoner remaster 'Convicted'. I have been play testing it with friends and getting some great feedback but it would be great to see it on stream! GT= I LoTuS I MAP - Convicted There have been a few key changes compared to the original map, notably the drop down vents from the sniper nests down to bottom security (twos)/bottom red tunnel and the sneaky crouch vent between top red and blue window. There is also a new jump up from bottom cargo (threes) to blue tunnel that helps open the map's movement to compliment Halo 5's fast play style. This has been a labor of love utilizing all of the 1024 piece limit. I spend countless hours finessing the size, lighting, and set dressing for competitive play. All of the the originals sight lines and trick jumps remain intact but with a fresh coat of paint and some new design decisions for Halo 5 I think this could be a hit! Thank you for looking! http://www.forgehub.com/maps/convicted.1512/
GT = I LoTuS I Map - Delinquent I also have another original map called 'Delinquent' that would be a lot of fun for a FFA or Slayer. This one has echoes of Derelict but it is much more balanced. Delinquent started with the simple concept. A bi-level, high perimeter ring, and four outstretched bridges toward top center, a-la-derelict, but it quickly evolved into something much more special. With a fairly simple symmetrical base layout I implemented complex movement to give the player a feeling of constant danger while giving creative gameplay options in every corner. Drop-downs and Jump-ups all around you! The bottom section has many "pro jumps" to solve for the issues a typical two-tier map has with spawn killing. Teleports on each side will transport you across the map and up/down a level to discourage radar/teleporter camping, lifts in each base get you up top quickly to fight for the Overshield top mid. So many different movement and jumping options give the map "legs" for the future. Delinquent has become a favorite of playtesters for 2v2,4v4, and FFA slayer. It works with Strongholds and CTF as well. I truly think you will enjoy this map for all Arena game types and I hope to get the attention of 343 to try and test for matchmaking. Please let me know what you think!
Hey Paranormal, loved your customs last time and even had a map of mine played. Remember Checkpoint? That remake from ODST. I have a new map this time round. 4v4 Slayer, titled Axiom, in my file share. Gt is Crypocalypse. Sadly I won't be able to tag along as I'll be overseas, but hope it all goes well!
If possible, I'd like to test my BTB map again (the one based on Halo CE). The map name is now Reminiscence, my GT is FrostPhoenix0. I've added a couple of man cannons to help traverse the map (previous test reported the map felt too big), and I'm trying to optimise some of the structures so I can add some more detail elsewhere. I'd like feedback for either strongholds or slayer, so take your pick
I'd really appreciate if you could test Checkpoint 19 again. I've addressed the issues you raised with the map last time; spawning, cover, and escaping the map. 8v8 if you can but fewer players would be alright. Slayer, CTF or strongholds whatever the lobby feels like. Thanks again for doing this!
Would love to test my map for my advanced level design class. Definitely would appreciate the feedback. I don't have a name for my map quite yet. It's 10+ CTF.
Would love for a test of my map! Just uploaded it to forgehub and haven't had an opportunity to test it myself. It is a remake of Team Fortress 2 map ctf_turbine set in 2554 (between Halo 3 and 4) Name: ctf_turbine 2554 GT: Smudbud89 Works best with Slayer, CTF or Strongholds. link: http://www.forgehub.com/maps/ctf_turbine-2554.1579/
I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it but if u could test a 2be map I've been working on for quite awhile now and I'm just trying to finalize it. GT: Str8LineNova Map name: Iris http://www.forgehub.com/maps/iris.1580/
If you have the time please try out my map on BTB Slayer. I think it will play well with 12 plus and no fewer than 10. GT:Chronmeister Map: Madness
Map Test Submit: Gtag: Explorer Oak Map: Colonial GameType: 4v4 Slayer/ Strongholds !NOTE: MAP IS BIG FOR 4V4 AND SHOULD STILL HOLD UP WITH 6v6 LOBBY! Feedback greatly appreciated through messege, post etc Further Detai: I've just entered testing phase on my first map project in halo 5. Everything is subject to change as it has various times already, including the name which for now i am content with Colonial. BACK STORY Colonial takes place in an active duty UNSC orbital Instalation, loyal in service for decades now. However after multiple raids from pirates 4 main districts have been quarentined and the wear and tear has begun to show. Broken glass, unhinged wall panels, broken tech. The ship is divided into the residential, mechanical, suttle bay, and import/export dock. This theme was establed after having first devolping the core layout. Map philosophy moving forward has been to introduce gameplay variety among competitive play. Being a highly competitive player myself i understand the desire for consistancy however, i also long for the days where a competitive match on gaurdian and lockout was held in high regard. Layout Spawning on opposite ends, boths teams have different paths that all end in a battle over various assets. One path leads to the dmr window, a power position overseeing a Long Hall and a deathpit seperating the two. Another path leads to the longhall where for now i have placed a railgun, a ballance between Rockets and Sniper. Within longhall if you become pinned down from the opposing team who has taken controll of dmr window, you can drop down into bottom mid. Bottomid is made up of branching paths the connect mid-tier areas of the map in close range, as well as an overshield resting at the endcap of the corridor. One more important thing to note is the death pit, a controvercial feature to maps in halo. However with halo 5s new mobility i was comfortable with the ballence of practical and creative use that one can make of its risk/reward jumps. Again its still in testing phase and all is subject to change. All aesthetics and colors are placeholders to establish theme and contrast for the players sake during this lengthy stage in development. Thank you for reading :]
