MLG Paintball

    I know there is no such thing as mlg paintball but i named it mlg because all it is is a br and a couple of brute shots witch in my eyes makes it close enough to an mlg gametype, but i found it to be fun so im going to post it and see what you guys think. I know you might think its simple and that i put no time into it but i really dont care what you say negative about this map i know the bridges arent the neatest but big deal its not going to be really noticable so just try this. Weapons: Unlim BR's, 1 Shotgun, Brute Shots. Maybe If you feel lucky shoot a hog down and try to hit the enemys with them, just an idea/hint.

    I know this map may see simple but just try it out with many people and its gunna be fun, but just for the sake of small partys i made the gametype for teamslayer only go to 50 kills. If you want you can change it to 75 or 100 or more. Heres The Gametype and the map downloads.

    Try spreading out spawns, interlocking would be great too but not required.

    I can teach you how to do it if you would like.

    I dont really get the map. Do I play it with a paintball game variant or normal team slayer? The map seem like a paintball map, and it does have paintball in the title. And you really should care about the negative criticism you get in the map, it helps you see the problems and fix them. Have a magical day.

    Yes someone finally knows interlocking is not required in making a map.

    To the creator of the map ??shotguns and BR's in paintball??

    no BRs are fine on a paintball map. But seriously brute shots and a shotgun? cmon, seriously.

    yea i know that taking the citicism isnt a bad thing i understand that i never said i would ignore it its just that i know the only things wrong with the map is probably the bridges over the respawn and maybe a couple things in the setup thats all. Yes the reason i put in those weapons were because how many people want to play with brute shots only for the long of a time, not everyone so i mixed it up, i know the names paintball i named it that because you can hide behind pretty much everything thats all.

    EDIT:Yes Xanon you play the map with the P.B. Gametype/varient whatever thats all you need.

    EDIT: Why dont you think that brute shots are like paintballs? Huh answer that thats exactly why i put them in there but the shotgun you have right i probably shouldnt have put that in.

    Becuse when I play paintball in real life, there are no grenade launching paintball guns. The weapon just doesnt work well with the map. The BR eally does own the Brute shoot with the paintball variant because it has way better range and shoots more accurately and fast.

    AAH, massive exploding paintballs are being fired at me!

    I do agree that the bruteshot seems out of place on this level, not least because it doesn't go with either the MLG or Paintball aspects of the name. Without any extended structural cover in the middle it is likely to just get owned by BRs.

    Its true that interlocking is far from necessary, but you seem pretty confident that your map is as good as it could be. I'm not saying you're wrong, I just think that the best thing about posting maps here is that you often get helpful feedback that can really improve your design, its certainly been the case for me. Maps are very seldom perfect, they can generally be made better in some way, even if its tiny, if you're willing to put in the effort. You can't have too much feedback, as long as people aren't just rude about your map.

    I agree that simple maps can often be really fun to play, and you look like you've got a decent grip of forging technique, the walls and boxes blocking off the back rooms look pretty well placed and the overall object layout, whilst sparse, looks balanced on either side of the map.

    The 2 powerups in the middle will be interesting. I wouldn't have put them together as people may grab both, even though they often counteract each other, just to stop others getting them. But if this doesn't happen then having a central powerup cache that you have to keep an eye on could provide interesting gameplay, its kinda hard to tell from the pics.

    Feedback is supposed to be encouraging not discouraging and so I do want to emphasize the positives of this map, good sense of symmetry and competent construction, just needs more detail in the middle. With only 9 posts and, as you said, not too much time gone into this map I think it shows some promise. Be open to advice and keep forging.

    why do you think im not willing to take advice i never meant that, i meant that when you see this map, its simple, what else (majorly) can be done to it, i know theres weakneses and thats what i said before i never said i wouldnt take advice.
