I've been working on this off and on for the past few weeks now, and I'm confident enough in the design that I'm starting to test which weapons I want on the map. This is my pipedream. (It used to be called Series of Tubes, but I like this name better.) I don't think I am going to keep the shotguns or the needler, but I want to test before I change them back to what they were previously (boltshot instead of needler and smgs instead of shotguns)
Just from the video, this map seems to have a pretty nice design and I like the layout a lot. One suggestion I would make about guns is keeping to the UNSC theme. I personally would make sure all weapons on the map are UNSC, but of course that is up to you. I'll have to run around the map tomorrow and check it out btw. What's your gamer tag?
I wouldn't do this. While immersion is important, picking weapons that play the best on the map is a much better approach. We don't have random weapon starts in the game type menu or else I'd suggest using fiesta to test which weapons suit your maps best. You should be alright just trying a few out though. The aesthetic is simple, very nice. As for the design, the levels seem like they are too disconnected. Not that it's a bad thing but it will make the map play very flat as you can't contest higher positions from the lower portions. Making the higher areas smaller may begin to fix that by allowing people to be pushed off more easily and have less room to back into the cover forces players to push before contesting. Just my 2 cents. Looks good though. Keep it up.
