if you decide you want to make a secret room on your map and you want it hard to find while the map still looks well made then use the following trick. 1. find a nice area to put your room 2. make your room (make sure every part of your room is boxed off except the top) 3. place a crate on the inside of the room you want to enter in 4. put a turret on the crate with the part you hold on to fully against the wall 5. if done correctly when you jump against the wall it will say, Hold rb to use turret, when you hold rb you will grab the turret, press it again and you will be in your room 6.you will need some way to get out, as you will not be able go back through the turret, and a roof (depending on your map) this only works with two walls thick and seven fence walls thick.
Well first, I don't think secret rooms are silly! They can really make (or break) a map! Secondly, I checked your signature. Secret rooms aren't brand new, but they are uncommon and as far as I know there hasn't yet been a guide. Good job, you've tried new ideas and even shared them with the community. + rep for you, good job! Oh, and welcome to ForgeHub!
There are alot of other ways to make a secret room.I can think about 4-5 other ways.If you are going to post a link to this in your profile, try using some formatting tools.Bold, italic, and underline. Also try posting screenshots and more detailed directions. You could also post a link to your fileshare with a map that actually has a secret room. Could you post more ways to make a secret room?Maybe the teleporter and door trick.(this technique was NOT first used by the Forge Masters). If you have no idea what that trick is,tell me and I will be more than glad to post it.
