    You really nailed the look and feel of those classic CE structures Spirit. Good job!

    Some feedback based on your fly-through - On the canyon side with the light bridge. It might be a good idea to give an infantry pathway to make the light bridge accessible from the lower levels from that side (if there isn't one already)... or else it's a long walk to the other side.

    I know you can get out of Fathom and Truth to get interesting atmosphere's for your maps but here is an example where you can create a similar underwater effect on parallax:

    I've seen Regret, Empire, and Eden so far... it feels weird just rummaging through other peoples maps lists.
    Like I'm a weird stalker or something. :/

    Good to see Mr. Pokephile is still on the forge grind. I'm just being constantly blown away with what we're capable of creating with this new forge. How long do you guys think it'll take before we've pushed this forge to it's limits and we're all bored with it?

    So far, the only downside I've seen is weird ambient sounds... although I guess if I haven't noticed them in the dev maps, I wouldn't notice them my forge maps.

    I was curious though, has anyone experienced any weird glitches or errors when forging on the dev maps? Maybe I'm just so used to all the hard limits with framerate and the like from previous games, but I just thought it might be an extra strain on Halo to have all the forge stuff, the dev map, plus all the background/environment stuff in the backdrop.

    You don't generate lighting on dev maps, so I would say it kind of evens out.

    edit: also sort of interested to see what the outside of regret looks like, along with the forge textures (if they change). Haven't seen that one yet.

    Now that Prefabs are confirmed as a coming "thing", my initial vision of what to do with Forge is becoming possible. Creating what I was calling "set pieces" to keep in an inventory for myself and others, either in Forge with another player, or in my own session, to then let others grab for their space.

    I have currently finished for the most part creating an Xbox One controller, which due to the unique shape and big glitches in Forge and groups, took me way too much time. When I saw the dark "Timmies" around the ring on the Headlong remake I knew where I would start from...form followed from Timmy on this one, and my giant controller thus fed the even more giant (but easier to make) xbone console...and the mega bloks will be coming along as well. I actually have two versions of the controller side by side, one realistic, one stylized, and I was so wishing I could have that prefab option as I have different map ideas I want to create around them on something other then Alpine.

    I could see myself doing custom prefabs for forgers who like doing big picture work in their maps, and want a custom piece that creates a unique design motif they can grab from me and duplicate in their structures. Imagine both being in their own Forge map, but streaming on Twitch to watch each other and give feedback. I love this means I and others wont have to start a whole new map just to use a prefab into one already fleshed out!

    Here's a video of my 2v2 map for the contest. It's symetrical, struggling on the bases tho. Really happy with some aspects of it, such as the circular staircase/tunnel. Was inspired by Battle of Noctus, warzone map.

    I was trying to plan the layout and design of my first Halo 5 map. Then I realized I'm barely familiar with the controls, pieces, and new features of Halo 5 forge so I decided to make a super simple 2v2 map so I could get used to the new forge. I'd say mission accomplished. I'm forging faster now and I know where to find most of the pieces I want.

    In regards to the map though, I'm not really happy with it. This is Weekend At Warden's. 2v2. Asymmetric. Kinda meh right now.

    I'm planning on filling in the middle with a structure connected to the rest of the map. I'm hoping this would improve flow and add more depth.

    I have all of the floors blocked out with the correct heights between each floor for the elevator shafts and the scale pretty spot on. I measured an overhead view of the map I found on google and recorded every area of the original to reference once I start building each decks layout. (Colors on most areas are just temporary)
