How do I get people to test my map for feedback? It's not finished yet but I think I need some tips and feedback... there should be a map selection mode in forge with maps available to play that are made by the user's. I think that would be useful..
Here are some suggestions to get you started: Start adding Forgehub members as friends on Live. Help other people test their maps if they invite you (most people are willing to reciprocate). Try to join one of the testing lobbies that runs weekly (Note - these are links to last weeks testing lobbies. Keep an eye out for new threads to be posted this week). http://www.forgehub.com/threads/tcoj-testing-lobby-1-2-16.149669/ http://www.forgehub.com/threads/forge-customs-event-saturday-8pm-est.149665/ Check out one of the websites that focuses on custom games (Halo Customs, Halo Lobbies, Forge.World, etc.). Post a Map Preview in this forum (Forge Discussion). Make sure you include a few pictures or a video, and an explanation of the map (ideal player count and gametype/s). It's also a good idea to mention particular things you want feedback on (spawning, weapons, connectivity, aesthetics, etc.).
Follow me on forgehub and you'll get alerts when I start a thread. (click my profile and click follow) Im going to start a thread later this week for another weekend testing event. Last weekend we had a party of 16 for 5 hours and tested almost 20 different maps. I review and seek maps of all kinds prior to the event so we will have a good schedule worked up so when you see me make the post then submit your map for the event and I will review it.
