Alright y'all. I know I'm not the only one who nostalgia'd extra hard when I came back to Halo for H5, and ForgeHub once Forge was released. The only thing missing were all the familiar faces, except a few (*cough* @xxBRYTExx @buddhacrane @Given To Fly @MultiLockOn @Rifte @RPAL @Zombievillan */cough*). So I made this Google spreadsheet. Let's systematically hunt down each and every one of our old friends. Feel free to add names to the sheet, or designate yourself the "Harasser" to bring each of these people crying and screaming back to the place where friendship was made back in the day. If someone hunted you down and you're returning to FH for the first time in a while, post in this thread with the person who referred you and you'll both get 10 friendship points and be added to the super srs leaderboard below. What will you spend them on? I had a lot of time to mess around and help run the site in high school, but man it's been awhile. I haven't really been playing a lot (honestly I don't like Halo 5 that much). It's great you guys are trying to get the band back together, and I do try to check the PPC from time to time, but I really don't think I'll be able to jump on Live or do that much here.
I was but a wee pleb on here back in Halo 3, but I was here. Insane54, Tedium, Sarge, Lightsout, Titmar, and myself (as well as a few non-4chubbers) started HaloCustoms a few years ago, and I'm afraid I'm the only one from that bunch who is currently active here. A few of the other oldies are still active on HaloCustoms, though.
Is Halo 5 playable from Aus at all with the whole dedicated server thing? If it's even remotely so, we should get a customs lobby together tomorrow. Maybe like 7 or 8am your time? Bonus points if you're still drunk from NYE. You made an awesome recreation of Headlong in Forge and got it into matchmaking, man. When I saw that during the BTB update it instantly brought me crawling back to the Forge community. I'm sure a lot of other people had the same reaction. So kudos to you for doing something fantastic and even enabling these conversations to happen in the first place. But I'm afraid you'll have to ask @Grif, the most notable member on the site, to revoke your pleb status, as that is a power beyond my own.
Seeing these usernames is a nice flashback to the old days. I need another site to waste time on other than reddit (that place ain't good for me). So whilst I don't feel equipped to keep up with the whippersnappers and all this newfangled scripting etc., I'll resurrect the FH bookmark out of the folder it eventually got relegated to and try to inflict some more essays on ya'll. Friendship points are a prestigious currency that have value because I say they do (much like most currencies in the world financial system nowadays, heyooo). 5 friendship points entitle you to one moderately long-post by me on a subject of your choosing. 10 friendship points and I'll go full Pegasi and blow your mind with an incredibly thorough and long-winded post highlighting every single small detail I can muster on a given topic. Use them wisely, my friends. I got rid of my wavy 3OH!3 gif avatar for the same reason. Frozen is no way to live.
