Today I have an asymmetric 1v1/2v2, a symmetric 4v4, and an asymmetric 4v4 to show you all! Let's get right to it. (I recommend watching the videos first)

    ---

First is Systematic Lockdown, a reimagining of a Halo: Reach forge map by myself that I posted a teaser of sorts of a while back. A few changes have been made, and now here is a more in depth look at it. It has no framerate now because apparently 3 teleporter frames are easier to render than 1 platform xl.

Next up is Forty-Five, which is named that because its project name was 45 because the idea was to take the idea of "the wall" on The Pit, and build it on a 45 degree angle (it's more like a 22.5 degree angle, but that's not as catchy). I'll explain why I did this, aside from keeping the map interesting to make, in a bit. I also added a top-mid area, eliminated some line of sights I didn't like, and added 2 more sniper towers just to make it my own. It is, of course, a symmetrical 4v4 since it is inspired by The Pit. It currently has a bit of framerate from outside the map in forge even though it has the fewest objects of all 3 of these maps (stupid bridge pieces), but I think it is playable.

This is a sightline I wanted to emphasize on the map. All 4 towers can see top-mid, which makes rockets a tough grab, as well as towers on opposite corners can shoot back and forth across top-mid.

Another sightline I wanted to change. This is the reason I built the wall on an odd angle. I noticed that whenever a stalemate occurred at rocket or camo hallway on The Pit, the stallbreaker was to run to the sword room and shoot up the enemy's side of the wall. With the wall on this angle, you can shoot up the enemy's side of the wall without going on their side of the sword room. The sightlines look like X instead of l l.

Lastly, this is a design is a favorite of mine from a loooong time ago that was supposed to be a 1v1/2v2, but the scaling in H2A threw it off and now it looks like it will play 4v4. This one took a lot of inspiration from Unreal Tournament and also Crown of Flies from Halo 3 and its remake in Reach. The map's name is Fuel because it kind of has a power core producing factory line. No framerate surprisingly. It is amazing what using teleporter frames and blocks primarily can accomplish! I have yet to decide on a weapon set for this map and I have not set up spawns for it yet.

These are two sneaky tidbits I got from Crown of Flies. The outside of most of the map is open, so there are cool little ledges you can use to sneak in the back door of some areas, so to speak.

This is the power core factory line I was talking about on the ceiling

Now all that is left to do is test! Thanks for looking.

This looks awesome. I especially enjoyed the pictures from the first map, it seems like it really has this castle-ish theme. Keep me notified on the process!

@Xandrith not yet. I don't even remember putting the second one on my file share, heheh. I'll put it up later though if you want to take a look. Did you have any concerns after looking through them? I'm not sure how solid they are since I'm not as avidly designing.

@others thanks for the interest :)
